"We've got bad news." 7 walked into Control with a file in her hands. "Knowledge of our new substance has been leaked to the Kingdom."
"Do you mean X-04?" Colonel barked.
"Yes."
"Through who?"
She slid the file to L. "A man named Bert Campbell was captured yesterday, immediately after defecting from the Commonwealth to the Kingdom. He didn't have the substance on him at the time, however, he had information of someone over there who not only possessed it, but was actively creating it."
"Whose side could this man be on?" Dollyshop asked.
"It seems as though he also migrated to the Kingdom," 7 said. "Presumably because the economical conditions—the Kingdom is more financially stable, thus inflation in lesser than in the Commonwealth."
"What happened to this Campbell?" Colonel asked.
"It is unclear. Whether he is still alive or not, working for the Kingdom now or not, are all unknown."
"I wouldn't be surprised if he joined the dark side, just like some of our other spies, just to avoid extermination," Colonel snorted.
"We need to find out where Campbell is now, then who his possible source is," said L, handing the case files back to 7. "Send D and A's team, they'll get it done in time. 7, send them the details and any equipment they'll need."
"Yes, sir," she nodded.
