What? May libro siya? What kind of book? I mean, siguro puro poetries ang laman ng book niya.
I watched almost everyone get in line while holding Aurora's book. They seem excited, apparently these events doesn't happen often because Aurora is not the social type. And from here I could also see that all she does is sign the book, not even talking to her fans nor smile at them. Weird.
"Oh? Akala koba you find poetries boring?" Ugh, great. Xiamira is here, ofcourse.
"Whatever, Xia. I just got curious that's all."
"Weh? Eh bakit parang titig na titig ka kay Miss Aurora kanina?"
I looked away, avoiding her gaze.
Ugh, can't you just shut up, Xiamira?! I'm getting embarrased! I thought to myself.
I cleared my throat and replied. "Seriously, tinitignan kolang kung tao ba talaga siya. Kahit ngiti hindi magawa. Kawawa naman yung mga fans niya. Naka kuha nga ng autograph, para naman silang hangin sakanya."
Xiamira lets out a soft laugh, baliw na ata ito. "Ano kaba, ganyan talaga yang si Miss Meliora noh."
Huh? Christine?
"Anong Christine?"
"Oh, hindi moba alam full name niya? Ay oo nga pala, hindi ka fan" Her last words had a hint of sarcasm in it. "She's Miss Aurora Christine Soraya, Emrys. Ganda niya 'no?"
Aurora Meliora Bautista... what a lovely and unique name.
"Ang unique naman ng name niya."
Xiamira rolled her eyes at me. "Oh talaga ba Emrys Azriel Rowan?"
"Seriously. Stop with the full name basis."
She rolled her eyes at me once again. Ano bang problema sa mga babaeng to? Hilig manaray.
"Anyway, Xia, meron kabang book niya?"
"Oo, bakit? Napa pirmahan kona sakanya matagal na."
This is quite embarassing but whatever."C- Can I borrow it-"
Xiamira cuts me off. "First of all, no. Second of all, never. It's Miss Aurora's precious book, noh!"
"Okay, thanks." I was about to walk away pero nag salita nanaman siya. Wala talagang katapusan yung bunganga.
"Teka, bibili ka? Akala koba ayaw mo sa mga poet? Sakanya?"
"I never said na ayaw ko sakanya. I only said that poetries are boring. And curious lang ako, don't get the wrong idea. I wanna see why people likes this mysterious woman."
"Maka mysterious ka naman, oa."
I rolled my eyes at her and leaves the theatre. Gusto ko tignan yung book nayon, I'll buy one.
--------\\-------------------\\--------------------\\--------------------\\-----------------\\-------------
Where the heck is it? Napaka daming libro dito, Xiamira! Ugh!
15 minutes nakong nag hahanap, nasan naba kasi yun?!
I looked through every shelf, until I finally found it.
"Finally natagpuan narin kita." I sighed in relief as I take one of the book and examines the cover.
'The lost poet'.
The lost poet? Hm, not a bad title i guess.
I flipped the book over to check the prize. 1, 200?! What the heck?! San galing mga sinulat dito? Sa ancient times?! 500 lang mga libro ah?!
I sighed in frustration. Tsk. Whatever, I'll buy it anyways. I'm really curious about this woman.
I turned around and made my way to the register when a tall woman bumped into me, causing me to drop the book.
"Seriously watch where your goin--!" I held my words back as soon as I realized who the woman was.
Miss Aurora...Damn.. she's even more gorgeous up close.. and also intimidating.
"My apologies." She grabbed the book from the floor and offered it back to me which made me froze.
That voice of hers... it was the same voice I had heard earlier during her poetry performance... and yet.. as I hear it now.. it makes me feel really nervous. My heart could jump out of my chest in any minute now.
She raised her perfectly crafted eyebrows. "What's the matter? Aren't you going to take it? Or have you changed your mind and decided that you don't want to buy this book anymore?"
I somehow panicked and takes the book from her hand. "N- No, ma'am. Thank you."
"Miss Aurora!" I called out.
It took her a few seconds bago siya tumingin ulit saakin.
"I want to.. buy this book of yours and.. I know na hindi kopa nababayaran pero can I ask for your authograph and sign this book?" Halos manginig ako sa kaba. What the heck is happening to me?!
Ilang segundo niya muna ako tinignan sabay lapit saakin ulit. Nakakahiya yun noh!
She takes the book from my hand, takes the plastic cover off and signed it.
"T- Thank you po." I bowed my head slightly at nahihiyang kukunin sana yung libro sakanya pero nilayo niya ito.
"What's your name?" She casually asked that left my mouth slightly open. Tinatanong ba niya talaga ako niyan?
"E- Emrys, Miss."
"Why are you interested in my book, Emrys?" Damn, her piercing look and that voice of hers is going to make me melt i swear. What is she even doing?!
"Um.. I- I don't know." Bakit naman ayun yung sinagot ko?! Bakit ako nauutal?! This is so embarassing!
She casually raised her eyebrows. "You dont know, hm? I see." She opened the book once again and writes something on it other than her authograph. Ano kaya yun?
After she finished writing binigay na niya saakin yung libro at umalis.
What a strange woman.
I opened the book to see her autograph and damn, ang ganda pala ng pirma niya. I also checked kung ano yung isa pang isinulat niya at nung makita koyon ay napa taas ako ng kilay.
'Be lost in the pages, find your way back with each word. You'll eventually find whatever your eyes are searching for.'Anong ibig niyang sabihin? I'm not searching for anything, am I? Or sadyang bobo lang talaga ko kaya diko maintindihan to? Napaka lalim naman.
-------------||----------------||------------------------||---------------------||--------------------
I sat down on my couch and opened the book.
"Let's see here.. The lost poet..."
The very first page of the book already convinced me that this book is something else, just like it's author.
'At the rock bottom she stays, she looks around and see, pitch black covers her entire surroundings. She's lost, she's dead, or is she? She's a lost poet who simply tries to find her way out of the tragedy.'
