The morning light shines through the ponies window, making them groan and cover their eyes with both of their hooves. Not wanting to wake up already..

" My eyes! Damnit! "

The bat pony curses under their breath, slowly sitting up as they kept their eyes shut in tightly. Why does their sleep have to always be interrupted? Eh, whatever..

The pony sighs and stared at the window, the light shinning onto their face as their ear flickered slightly. A sentence strucks their brain, reminding them that it was their turn to take care of the chores today. Frowning grumpily as they stood up and lazily heads towards the kitchen, rummaging through the cabinets to get a piece of bread.

As Max chomps on the bread, something caught his attention... Seeing a little note from their roommate, Felix, that there wasn't much food left so he went out to go to he market nearby.

" Mm..? "

The pony stares at it for quite a while before shrugging and sat down on one of the chairs to sit, leaning his back against the chair.

Max ponders on what to do while Felix, his roommate, was gone and thought of going to the nearby forest and try to find berries while he was going to spend his time there. Going to the forest to avoid chores since he was feeling lazy, as always..

But then, his eyes wonders around the house. Staring at objects and then the window. It was still early and it'd be good to go outside and picking up berries might be a good excuse..

He got up from the chair and goes to the bathroom to get himself ready for today, shower, fix his hair, brush his teeth, and put on his ear piercings on. To look cool or something. Going out of the bathroom and getting the basket on the counter as Max opened the front door and left. Closing the door behind him.

" Now.. I think I need to be quick or else Felix will scolds me after I return.. "

Max thought to themselves, walking around as the cool wind hits their face. They liked it when that happens. He didn't wanted to use his wings yet since he wanted to have a little walk exercise and greet their neighbor. But then sees three ponies as he walks by, overhearing their conversation..

" Hey.. Haven't you heard what happened yesterday?.. "

The pony with long hair questions both ponies in front of her.

"  Eh, not really.. What's up? "

The other raises an eyebrow at the long haired pony.

" I heard from my parents that multiple ponies went missing this week and some were found in the ever free forest.. "

" Wait, really? What happened? "

The one with short hair says, widen eyes to seem shock while the other seems to be aware already.

" I overheard their conversation and they said that a pony has been found in one of the bushes but I'm not sure what happened next.. I just heard that the pony had several wounds and a missing arm. I think the victims name was mentioned but I'm not quite sure.. "

The long haired pony says thoughtfully, scratching their cheek.

" I think I've heard of it before but I don't think I remember most part of it... "

The pony that raised their eyebrow to the ponies says out loud.

I think that might be a hint to not go to the forest alone but maybe it's just a fake story perhaps?.. But if it isn't, Max will just stop going there to be safe and he'll just be quick anyway. Stubborn to not turn back, he walks off and got ready to use his trusty wings for a bit of a ride. The basket still in his mouth.

" I'll just be quick.. "
