-The moonlight shone over the land of ColdWillow Glades and its castle. The wind was soft and the people were in a deep slumber, all but Everest. He lay awake in his room, staring at the posters above his head. His Hyena teddy lay next to his head. His wings were spread over the whole bed and over the edges. He sighed, trying to shut his eyes while holding the teddy but his excitement wouldn't dare let him sleep. He smirked in his sleep, his tail wagging softly at the end. He turned to lay on his stomach and his the plushie under his chest. He breathed in the Lavender scent of it and smiled. The clock showed it was 12:37 in the morning. He needed to wake up at 9, so he needed to sleep soon. He shut his eyes and he smiled, but within about 30-40 minutes, he dozed off into a light sleep. His short ears twitched every now and again but he was asleep. He laid in his cozy shorts and oversized top. He had his hands wrapped around his plushie loosely.

Around 9 hours pasted and his alarm blared in his ears. He jerked awake to click it off and raced around his room to get dressed. He put on his body suit, jumper, shorts, gloves, leg warmers and his legs wraps. He pulled his necklaces into place and grabbed his phone to put it in his pocket. He rushed out his door and into the large hallways of the Starborn castle. He looked out the window to see the land of ColdWillow Glade and the sun rising above. He smiled and continued running to a special room. He ran until he got to a room with tall wooden doors. He pushed one open softly and peered in. His step mother awaited him and once she saw him, she smiled.
"If it isn't the warrior herself." She said, standing up and inviting Everest in.
"Hi mum- oh uh, it's actually himself- sorry." Everest corrected softly.
"Oh, sorry dear. You and your pronouns get me so confused." She pet Everets head softly and kissed his forehead softly. "Are you ready for your first training session?"
"Yes! I've been dying for this day!" Everest squealed with excitement.
"Alright you. Your mission is to shoot every non Harpy thing in the forest, you get points at every headshot or chest hit you get. You remember how to use a bow and arrow, correct?" The step mum asked. Everest nodded with excitement.
"Yeah, I do! I've been studying so I can't forget." Everest took the bow and arrow from one of the assistants and smiled at it.
"You're such a good kid. You'll be one hell of a warrior. Now, go ahead and prove yourself worthy, young knight!" The step mother said, leading Everest into a large room which led into the deep, tall forest. She handed him a pair of special technically designed glasses to help his locate enemies. She waved him goodbye and the door shut.

Everest turned on the glasses and the forest turned green. He could see every animal and bug. He walked forward for about a minute before heard a tree branch snapping. He turned to face the location of the sound. His glasses spotted an enemy and he pulled out his weapon, shooting the target within seconds. He got an instant headshot and got 10 points. The robot fell down and he kept walking. He held his wraps tightly and was watching every move.

Around 20 minutes later, Everest was deep in the forest. He was on edge once he realised how far he was getting. He sighed and was about to head back to that door when he heard the sound of cars and people taking and rushed walking. He was very closer to the streets of New York City. He started walking more, hoping it was just part of the test but then he heard it.

"Lost, birdie?" A tall, teenage looking turtle said from a rooftop. He had curved red markings over his eyes and yellow eyes on his arms and legs. He had two katanas on his back. He had a blue bandana on his face. He sat on the edge of the rooftop and looked down at Everest, a smug grin of his face. "Haven't seen you around here before."
