3rd person pov ^^
The clock hit 3am when Everest woke up, startled when the castle's alarm system went off. Everest rubbed his head and jumped out of bed, face planting when the blankets tangled his foot. He untangled his foot, jumping up to grab his bow and arrows and rushing out the door faster than the guards. He got to the large training area. He body-slammed into the door to push it open and readied his weapon before noticing..no one was there at all. No guards or maids. He let his guard down just a little and stepped forwards. He looked up and straight forward. He extended his wings for better lighting. He started glowing his wings, the patterns on the wings slowing up in the floor. He looked around to see basically nothing, but suddenly the doors slammed shut and the lights shut off completely. His guard went up immediately and his weapon was ready to shoot.

He lightened up his wings more so he could see the whole room. Instantly, he saw a whole gang of demon like figures. His eyes widened and he growled, pulling his weapon to sun and shot one of the demon straight through the forehead, blue blood splattered on the wall and floor. The other demons turned to the body and sniffed before they snarled and launched at Everest. Everest beat his wing and flew upwards, shooting two arrows at two of the blue blooded demons, one hitting one in the head and the other in a foot, trapping a demon. He swooped down, wrapping his talons around the demons neck and ripping its head off. The other demons swiped at his legs but he launched up, kicking one in the face, throwing him off. He flipped in the air and landed on his feet. He still had the bow in his hand. He beat his wings upwards and he pulled the arrow out of the first demons head and flicked most of the blood off of it. He flipped fit onto the bow and jumped off the edge he was perched on, hitting another demon right before one appeared behind him and kicked his back, throwing him to the floor where he hit the floor but got back up and hit a demon with the bow, jumping on its head so he could jump off and stab one in the stomach. Three demons left. He beat his wings and swooped behind a demon and clawed his talon into the back of its head and pushed it into the floor, pulling out an arrow and digging it into the back of its head. He pulled it back out and turned to another demon who tried to take a running start. Everest smirked and threw the arrow right into its back, spilling its organs. He pulled it out alongside one organ. "Gross." He rolled his eyes and flicked it off and beat his wings and looked down at the one demon that kicked him. "Revenge, bitches!" He declared, swooping down at it, kicking the back of its head and right before it fell, he cuts its spine out.
He looked at his bloody hands and bow.
"I feel like I took that too far but who cares." He shrugged and the lighted clicked on. He looked around and stopped his glowing wings. He looked at the cameras he just now spotted and the door, which his step mother stepped through.
"Well well well! Seems like that issue was taken care of! Guards! Stand down!" She ordered. "Everest! I didn't know you could take out such high level enemies! This was a test for the guards but that explains the thuds and sound of..guts." She saw the demon organs and took a step away from them. "Come on, love, let's get you cleaned up." She put a hand on his back and lead him out of the room.
"Guards! Grab all of Everest's arrows and give them to him when he's ready!" She ordered. The guards got straight to work and cleaned the bodies and grabbed the arrows and stored them away for when Everest grabs them.

Everest and his step mum walked back to his room where Everest put on a different set of clothes and sat down on his bed, pulling the deer plushie to his chest. His step mum walked in once Everst called out she could. She pulled the blanket over his body and kissed his forehead goodbye night. She shut off his light and called the guards over to hand her the arrows. Once she got them, she put them in his holder and shut his door.

But what Everest didn't know, is that the 'training session' for the guards wasn't the original plan. Those demons were real and designed for something else...
