Yuki’s POV

I ran and hid in an alleyway chasing it just to blink for a second. I lost it. “What the-,” I said shocked as it was just there a second ago. “Whatever, it's getting late I have to go home now,” I pulled the hood of my hoodie over my head and started to walk home.

I unlocked the house door with the key and everyone in the house was asleep. I quickly walked up stairs and walked into my room just as I opened my bedroom door and a hand grabbed my shoulder. I turned around and it was my dad. “Yuki, why were you out so late,” He said in a strict tone but also worried.

“I-I-I-I went outside for a walk,” I said as a lie.

“Yuki, you can’t keep doing this, you need to stop wandering off. you can get hurt okay?” He was genuinely worried about me.

“Okay I will try to stop,” I said to get him to not worry.

“Good, now go to bed, you have school tomorrow,” He said as he took his hand off of my shoulder then walked to his room. I walked into my room and put my pocket knife and butterfly knife in a box then hid it under my bed. I couldn't let them know I was a spy, at least not yet…

I woke up to my alarm ringing. I turned it off then got out of bed. I put on my school uniform and then I brushed my hair. After I got done brushing my hair, I walked out of my room and walked down stairs everyone was already awake. My mom was watching TV in the living room, while sitting on the couch. My little sister was on the floor playing with her baby toy. I walked into the kitchen then started to make myself a bowl of cereal. My dad was already taking my brother to school so he wasn’t home yet. I ate my bowl of cereal and thought about what my life would be like if I hadn’t been a spy if I had just been a regular kid.

“Yuki?” my mom said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah mom?” I answered her.

“Can you play with Mira for a little bit?” she asked me, sounding exhausted.

“Sure mom,” I said with a smile. I got up and walked over to play with Mira. I picked Mira up and held her in my arms and played with her. After a few minutes dad came home and I realized if I didn’t leave now I was going to be late for school. I gave my dad Mira then ran out of the house grabbing my bag.

As I ran to the bus stop I bumped into a kid who looked to be 15 or 16 somewhere in that age range. “S-s-s-sorry,” I managed to mutter out, then ran off to the bus stop. I got on the bus and went to school. I ran to my classroom and as my teacher started to take attendance. The boy I ran into earlier walked into the classroom and sat down. I saw him glance at me. I looked down at the floor in embarrassment.

After class I walked out of the classroom and I bumped into the kid from earlier again this time I lost balance and fell. He caught me before I hit the ground.
