Ren’s POV

“I'M LATEEEEEE!” I yelp as I run out the door. 10 minutes, school started, I could probably get there soon but I'd have to run faster than normal. I decided it was for the best and ran somewhere private. I shapeshifted into a cheetah and ran till I was near the school.

I was almost there so I shifted back into my human form and ran the rest of the way. I got there right as the bell rang and I ran into class. The teacher gave me a glare but started class.

“Today, we will be working on some presentations.” the teacher said. “Choose a topic that you feel strongly about and start working.” I just sat there thinking. And I came up with an idea, I would write about stopping wars!

After a few days I finished working really hard! Let's hope it's alright… wait, no, everything will be worth it! I just gotta do my best!

I got into class and the teacher immediately made us present. A few minutes later, it was my turn. I stepped up to the front and began

“So, we all know that people have fought for dominance for years at a time. Even when we may not be fighting, there are wars in other parts of the world too! That's why I'm here to explain why we should learn to be peaceful, and not fight amongst ourselves." I started. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to block the slight fear that started to rise.

“We may not like differences, and we may fear them, but for many instances, if we were the same, Wouldn't life just be the same thing for everyone? Fighting over differences is just telling me that we should have all stayed in little huts with no new ideas. Can you imagine that?” I paused and I took another deep breath. “Not having any new ideas and just having to deal with all sorts of things that we had to get past?”

“Then again, fighting just causes death, who would like death? What is the point of fighting if we may never see a family member because of it?” I felt tears fill my eyes as I remember my father, strict and serious, but kind hearted and playful all at the same time. He didn't need to die. “I can tell you guys, from experience, losing a family member makes a lot of people lose hope.” At this point I couldn't hold back tears as they rolled down my face. I smiled anyway as I continued.

“Fighting may seem like it helps some things, but it really just makes things worse. Thanks for listening to my presentation.” I finished and went back to my seat.

People continued to present and I gave them all positive feedback. Hopefully fighting will end soon.
