Flora had been gone at her interview for about a half hour. My interview had taken twenty minutes, plus ten minutes for getting there and back, so I expected her to be back any minute now. Had she been asked the same weird questions I'd been asked? Did she know any more about these clubs than I did? Probably.
I checked the clock again. It was 5:30 now. They'd started serving dinner down in the cafeteria ten minutes ago and I was getting rather hungry. Hopefully she'd be back soon -we'd planned on going and eating together, since neither of us had yet to make other friends.
I saved my Animal Crossing game, and turned off my 3DS. I put the blue device back on the table between the beds. I stretched, and my back made a loud (and satisfying) popping noise as it cracked. I stood up with a contented sigh because even though Flora was great, she was very loud and the peace and quiet was a nice change.
Suddenly, the door - for the second time today - was dramatically thrown open by Flora. "Ella, come on! It's dinnertime and I'm starving. Also, I found some friends."
"Coming,"I replied, making my way through the maze of Flora's bags, books, and clothes. I followed her out into the hallway where a girl and boy were talking.
"Alright. Jess, Andy, this is Ella. Ella, this is Jess and Andy. They joined the Warrior Clubs too," Flora explained.
Andy gave me a small wave. He had brown hair and green eyes. "Can we go now?" he asked impatiently.
"Yeah! My roommate, Kristi, already went down. She's saving us a table,"Jess said, falling into step beside me as we began walking. Her dark brown hair was pulled into a ponytail and her eyes were a stormy gray.
"Man, does everyone like their temporary roommate but me?" Andy complained.
"Why, what's wrong with him?" Flora asked.
"He's obnoxious!" Andy wailed. "He'll complain about me leaving my toothbrush out, but his clothes cover the floor. If I make too much noise while playing Candy Crush, he flips out on me!" he continued, moving to walk backwards in front of us.
"How much noise can playing Candy Crush possibly make?" I asked.
"Well, if you get angry and throw your phone at the wall-" Jess started. She was interrupted by Andy crashing into someone rounding the corner. They both fell into a heap on the floor, both looking quite surprised.
"Are you two alright?" Flora asked as Jess reached out to help Andy up.
"I'm fine. Sorry about that," Andy said, turning and helping the new guy up.
"It's okay," the new person sighed, rubbing his elbow. "Do you guys happen to know where the cafeteria is?"
"That's where we're headed!" Jess exclaimed excitedly. "Come and walk with us."
"Alright," he shrugged, and we all began walking in a long line. "I'm Chris, by the way." He had brown hair too, but his was lighter than Andy and Jess'. I didn't get a very good chance to look, but I was pretty sure his eyes were brown.
"I'm Andy," Andy said, introducing himself. "Sorry again for crashing into you."
"I'm Jess - my roommate Kristi is saving us a table down at the cafeteria."
"I'm Flora, and this is my roommate Ella. Did you join the Warrior Clubs?"
"Yeah, actually," Chris replied. "Have you guys already done your interview?"
"Yeah!" I answered. "It was super crazy, questions flying in from every direction."
"The questions were pretty weird, too," Andy commented.
