Part 3

The sound of the door closing alerts Anna to being in a stranger's home.....alone but for some reason she did not feel uncomfortable but daring, she turns to face Quin. Not one of them dared to move a muscle, they observe each other from the way his icy blue eyes pay attention to the settle rise and fall of her chest as her full lips separate ever so slightly.

Anna's eyes fix on his eyes which remind her of the blue river on the outskirts of the pack ground, just then the burning sensation of the hot meal in her hands start to awaken her from her daydreaming.

With a nervous smile Anna made the first move breaking the comfortable silence, "Luna told me to bring you dinner" she says looking down at the plate, Quin could not help but give her a small smile "you said that already" he said trying to not laugh at his beautiful mate Infront of him.

Quin watches as she lets out a nervous laugh making him want to hear her laugh every minute of the day, it was addictive. "Is there somewhere i could rest it down, I'm afraid it's quite hot" Anna says with a smile on her face, in a second the plate is removed from her hands, and he watches as Quin makes his way to the kitchen or so she would assume.

Quin makes his way to the kitchen with the plate of dinner, he was quick to take it from her hands as he realized it caused her discomfort, he left her in the living room without saying anything a little afraid that if he said thank you, she would have left. As he placed the food on the dinner table, he heard the front door open and close.

Quine felt frustrated, he did not know what to do or say to her. He was not his.......but James. His ears peek but as he hears footsteps coming towards him in the house, he watches diligently in the case of intruders but to his surprise it was his mate that he thought left.

"want some?" quin said hoping to release some tension. He watches as her eyes move from him to the plate of food, she shook her head" no thank you" she says "I'm not hungry" just as those words leave her lips, he heard her stomach make a noise.

She quickly wraps her hands around her stomach area, he could not help but laugh. He did not say anything else to her but moved around the kitchen removing a plate and utensils from the cupboards. She watches him quietly as he removes half of everything into the extra plate, her sets one down Infront of her on the table and he takes a sit inform of it.

"eat" he said simply pointing to her plate with his fork, she did not protest knowing in true she was starving, as they set and eat in silence Anna could not help but think about how she has been skipping out on dinner with the pack since she found out she will be the next Luna. She did not want to sit and eat amongst everyone, knowing in her heart she was not grateful or happy but in fact. Sad, as she finishes Quin takes her plate once without saying anything.

"why did you come to this pack?" Anna found herself asking, surprising Quin. "the king assigned trainers to each in the Island territory" Quin says truthfully while washing the plates. "why?" Anna asks to say her brows frowning not understanding what the purpose for trainers were.

"are you always this curious?" Quin turns around with a big smile, Anna raised an eyebrow, "it is not really curious when this involves my pack" Anna stated knowing she had to use the luna card which she hates but it gets the trick doing sensing he did not want to answer her why.

Quin smile fades hearing her using her soon to be title, he leans on the counter folding his hands. "you are not luna" quin said sternly eluting to the fact that she is not yet mated, "yet, in a month I will be therefore I suggest you answer my question" she said daring him.

She watches as he lets out a scoff, "there has been attacks made on packs in the surrounding areas" he says seriously, "where?" Anns says not missing a beat, "lightfoot, greens and ravens" Quin stated.

This catches Anna attention, "that is 3 out of the 6 Islands in Island" she says confused because for the king to get involved this must have been serious. "what are their main targets?" Anna asks, wanting to know as much information as possible. "The best person to inform you on this matter is your Alpha" Quin says ready to stop answering her questions.

"But you're right her?" Anna said shruggingly, "but that does not mean you get to question me" Quin said. For some reason anna felt hurt by his statement she did not know why.

She gave him a small nod of the head and went to the Livingroom with all intensions to leave but she could not the same tug feeling had returned when she went to leave the first time, instead she made her way to the couch, turning on the tv and getting comfortable.

After a few minutes of hearing movement in the kitchen the noise stops alerting Ana that Quin is making his way towards her, she felt unsettled but not in a bad way the way that caused butterflies to burst out of their nest.

She did not look as he made his way into the living room and sat on the far end if the couch, her eyes still glued to the television. "It is very rude to start watching a strangers television without their permission" Quin said jokingly.

"Is that so?" She asks, playing along, finally tearing her eyes from the television. "Yes but I will allow it just this once" he replied shrugging his shoulder. "oh wow, why thank you your majesty" Ana says jokingly, but her words caused him to cough on thin air making Ana burst out laughing but just has Quin was about to reply.

"This is a emergency public service announcement from the royal palace, The pack of Blue Moon has been attacked and we are asking surrounding pack to please prepare yourself for a war.... the King and Queen have decided that the next in thrown will be swear in shortly and then released to the world" The reporter says sternly.

Before Ana could think she stands up and heads for the door needing to hear what the alpha's next move will be and since she is too be luna soon she will be needed in the meetings to come, "I should find James and the Alpha....the attack is merely miles away. There is no doubt that we will be next on their list and we need the pack to be ready for that" Ana says a bit worried.

Quin stands from his seat but does not make an effort to approach her, "everything is going to be fine, I promise" He says wanting to comfort her and put her at ease because he knows with him her no harm to her will come, "don't make promises you cant keep" she says strongly and reaches from the door handle twisting it but before he could stop himself he takes two steps forward and says "I am a man on honor and loyalty when I promise something I mean it" he says almost begging her to believe him and walk into his arms for him to hug and sooth her.

"I hope so" Ana says then taking her leave.
