"Where are we going" I asked dad. He ignored me. "DAD" I yelled in hope of getting his attention. "Sorry I just cant-" I cut him off. "Where are we going" I asked again with frustration. Not to sound inconsiderate but im in no mood to hear him babble on about his feelings. "I have an old friend whose willing to let us stay with her-" "DAD ARE YOU HAVING AN AFFAIR" I yelled wishing I'd stayed with mom. "Hazel, don't raise your voice at me. I am not your mother, remember that". Oh now he wants to be dad of the year.. Pfft. We'll see how long this lasts.

"Whatever" I whispered under my breathe. "I'm serious Hazel" he said sternly. "Alright I get it" I said as I rolled my eyes, impatiently waiting to reach our destination. "Ironic enough she's going through something similar to us" he laughed. "Try coincidence" I thought to myself. " You'll be starting high school with her son-" "So your bringing me to a place with your side hoe and her probably nerd, no life ass son. Thank you dad for this ride out but you can bring me back to Diane now" I said with folded arms. "Hazel" he exhailed in disappointment. "If this is gonna work you need to change your attitude" he sighed.

"I don't know why you want to change me for. This is only for a little while anyways. When she's done with rehab we'll go back HOME" I said before turning the radio up. "DAMNIT HAZEL STOP" he yelled while turning the music off and stopping the car. "Here we go" I thought to myself.

Basically for the entire HOUR long ride I was being reprimanded on how I should clean up my attitude and respect my parents more. Pfft.. Yeah Ok. "Are we at least almost there?" I asked. "We've been here. I was just driving around to show you the neighborhood" he chucked. "Well maybe her son can show me around" I offered still mocking this ridiculous idea. "Have you even thought about what I want. Yeah earlier I was mad at mom but this is my life that's changing too.." I said frustratedly. "Hazel, in life you'll-" I cut him off immediately. "Don't give me that in life bs.. What about Jackie? What about Aunt Betty she's supposed to visit next week?" I asked him as he pulled in the driveway to some house that looked like an apartment but he swore wasn't. "We'll discuss all that later. For now all you need to know is that we will be staying here for a while, or until I can get us our own place. So please Hazel, be nice. It'll be fun, try to remain positive" he smiled before getting out the car.
