Amelia
Bryce got out of the hospital two days after. I spent those two days at Harry's house, just the two of us. I mean, I did have to go to my own apartment to get some clean clothes, because there's only a certain amount of time that a girl can survive wearing someone else's clothes. But other than that, we were at his house most of the time, watching movies, eating and having crazy sex everywhere.
On the 30th, We both went back home. We spent the New Year's with our families, but at exactly midnight, from December 31st to January 1st, Harry was the first text I got.
Happy New Year, love. I hope this year brings you all the happiness you deserve, and hopefully you'll want to share that happiness with me. I miss you already xoxo
I smiled reading his text, sitting right next to Bryce on the porch, looking at the fireworks. Bryce's arm fell over my shoulders, and he pulled me to him, wincing a little. His body was still pretty bruised from the fall, since he basically shielded me from hitting much. I looked at him, smiled and kissed him cheek.
"Happy New Year, Bryce."
"Happy New Year, sissy." He said, smiling widely at me and kissing my head. Even though Bryce was a few years younger than me, he was way taller than me. "Who's texting you?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
"My friends." I shrugged, trying to hide my phone away.
"Hmm, a friend names Harry, uh?" He asked in a teasing tone.
"Oh, stop it!" I rolled my eyes at him.
"How are things between the two of you?" He asked, suddenly getting serious. I told him what was going on between the two of us and he obviously told me I wasn't being reasonable.
"They're good. Better than ever, actually."
"That's good to know." Bryce smiled, kissing my head again. Then, he took his crutches and stood up. "I'll leave you now to talk to your lover." He mocked.
"Very funny, mister." I told him, making him laugh. As soon as he was inside, and I was left alone on the porch, I took my phone and called Harry.
"Hey, love." He answered on the second ring.
"Hi!" I told him, suddenly feeling shy. "Happy New Year!"
"Happy New Year! How was your day?"
"It was good. My parents have some friends over, so Bryce and I came outside to enjoy a little time to ourselves." I told him. "How was yours?"
"It was great. Ash came over and we're going to a party on campus now. How's Bryce feeling?"
"He's better, still a little bruised, but his humor is still top notch." I rolled my eyes, even though he couldn't see me. "You're going to a party, uh?"
I don't know why, but something inside me turned when he told me he was going to a party with Ash. I didn't want to show my insecurities right after we started being exclusive, but something about Ash didn't sit right with me. I felt weird knowing Harry would be with him at a college party. And he probably noticed my tone, because he sighed.
"Is there a problem?" He asked.
"No, no problem at all." I tried to sound as convincing as possible.
"I miss you." He told me after a few seconds in silence.
"You saw me two days ago, Harry." I laughed.
"Two days is a long time." He said, sounding way too dramatic, making me roll my eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at me."
"How did you know?" I laughed again.
