You notice the girl sitting next to you
she has no makeup on
Her under eyes are so dark
She looks so tired
Her leg continuously bouncing up and down
She just sits there
With a blank expression on her face
She bites her nails
Well what's left of them
Her nails already bitten all the way down
She continues biting them all the way down to the flesh
You ask her if she's done the work
She quietly says no
And goes back to sitting there
Sitting there emotionless
As if she were numb
The teacher calls on her
But she doesn't answer
She just sits there quietly with a blank expression
until he moves on to the next person
That's all she does
The entire class
She sits there quietly
Not saying a single word
Or doing anything at all
the bell rings and she quickly grabs her things
walks out of class
roaming the halls by herself
looking so sad
so numb
