Chapter 17: Picnic... Picnic?!

Woo! Happy racing with my favorite superbike! Yes! I lost him! I'm gaining on him! 

"Left turn! Left turn!" unknown voice said. Who's that? I really don't know who is that. 

"Karl! Left turn!" Seriously? Who's that? I can't recognize it's voice. I stopped and look backwards.I saw... Whoa! Yeah! Left turn! I turned my vehicle very fast. Whew! That's so close! So what's that? Well, it's just Mae's flying motor parts! Crazy right?Mae runs towards me and asked, "You saw my wheel?" 

"Your wheel? You mean you're flying wheel?" I asked back.

 "Yeah you saw it?" he asked with a smile. Wait! Smile? He's smiling? He's smiling all day?! Very different from the Mae that I know. He's so jolly this day! What's going on? 

"Hey! Can you help me repair mine?" he asked. Still smiling. 

"Uhmm... Yeah! Sure!" I answered. 

After 20 minutes..."Yes! It's fixed! Thanks Karl!" he said and patted my shoulder. Really confusing. I can't take it! 

"Mae, can you tell me what happened to you?" I asked. 

"What? I don't get it," he answered... with confused smile!"Why are you so happy this day?" I asked. Please give me a good reason or I'm going to be crazy! 

"Hahaha! that?! It's the real me," he answered. Seriously? Are you kidding me? 

"Real you? But you're..." I commented.

 "Forget the negative thoughts you have about me. I'm always happy. I just don't know how to show it to others," Mae said. 

"O-okay," I said but still confused. 

"So, can we go now?" he asked. "To what? I mean where?" I asked. Where does he wanted to go? 

"I thought you want a picnic with the girls," he commented. Oh yeah! Right! The picnic! 

"Oh yeah! Come on!" I said. We drove to Jean's house. Mae went in front of the house and pushed the door bell. No one responded. He pushed it again and again. Still no respond. 

"Hmm... Seems like they're not around," Mae said. He went back to his superbike and put the helmet back to his head. 

"Yeah, you noticed," I said. So where's that girl? 

"Wait! I'll call her," he said. And again he took off his helmet. He's just tiring himself with that gesture. 

"Okay," I answered. He went away. Well, about two meters away from me. Still close but I didn't want to hear their conversation so I just played with Ang's phone. After 5 minutes, he approached me and said, "She said she's with Star." 

"Oh!" I said and sighed. "I miss Ang," I added."Oh come on! Just stay cool and wait for her to come back," Mae said. I sighed and answered, "That's all I can do" 

"Ha! Come on!" he encouraged. 10 minutes passed by and... Oh shoot! It's traffic! 

"Oh shoot! It's traffic!" Mae commented. Whoa! Did he read my mind? Is he a mind reader? Well, this questions made me hungry. 

"Oh this can make me hungry!" he added. Seriously? What is this?

 "Oh there! Shall we?" he pointed a restaurant. "My favorite restaurant! Yes!" I commented. We stopped and eat inside.
