Chapter 20: Finishing the mission

This is so boring! The school days will start next week and AN is not around! He's annoying. Yes! But I need someone who will cheer me up. Where is that guy?

I heard the doorbell rings. What? A visitor? At this time? I walked out of my room. Only girl in the house, as a matter of fact, only person in the house. I walk downstars and look who it is. Oh! my friends! I immediately open the door and greeted them, " What are you guys doing here?"

"Let's party," Jean shouted showing some bottles. Wait! Is that wine?

"Isn't that bad?" I asked pointing to the bottles.

"Now you're the good girl," Gene commented. He rest his arm on my shoulder and planted a kiss in my forehead.

"Hey!" I said pushing him away.

"So you replaced Jean," Karl said. He entered the house. Hey!

"This is my house," I shouted.

"It's okay Star," Mae said. He's currently eating a bread. What? Bread and wine? Isn't that...

"The last supper of Christ here on Earth. Most known as the communion," someone said. W-wait! It sounds like...

"AN!" Jean shouted, run towards him and hug him. I turned my head. It's really AN! He looked at me and smiled.

"Guys! Have you not notice? It's Sunday," AN said. So what's with Sunday?

"Is there something important about Sunday AN?" Gene asked. He doesn't seemed to be angry of AN anymore.

"Church day," AN answered. Oh yeah!

"But we don't know any near church," Mae commented. They're not angry anymore. So AN got their attention huh?

"I do!" Jean replied. She does? Oh yeah! Of course she does. AN smiled at her and signed.

"Okay, there is a near church here. It's a Christian church. You might want to attend because all of them, I mean us, are treating each other as real siblings, brothers and sisters," she explained.

"So are we going or not?" I asked. Everyone is looking at me. Why?

"Are you sure you're going with that outfit?" Karl saked. I looked at myself. Oops! I'm wearing black shorts together with a hanging blouse. They're right! I need to change...

"Yeah right! I'll just go change," I said and run upstairs.

"Careful Star! Don't run," AN istructed. Aww! He cares! So as an answer, I looked at him and gave a smile. Slowly I continuedmy way up. Just a few minutes and I'm fixed! Oceanic blue dress with black wedge. Cool! I grabbed my black sling bag with my things in it. I rushly went down. Hey wait! My hair is a ruin! I fixed it just for a while. Now I'm ready!

"Whoa! What a style!" Karl commented that made me smile.

"You think so?" I asked smiling.

"Yeah! We think so," Gene answered.

"So, can we go now?" AN asked smiling.

"Aww! You're all making me jealous! My partner is not around," Karl said. Hahaha! What a joker! We went in our cars but AN interrupted. "Uhmm... Can you guys just go with one vehicle?" he asked.

"Oh sure! Let's just use my van," I answered.

"Now that's more like it," Mae said.

"How about our cars?" Jean asked.

"Uhmm... I know! Just park it in our parking lot," I answered.

"Okay!" Gene replied. And there we went in... Mae is driving and Jean is instructing him where to go.

"Nice! We're here!" Mae announced. We went otside the car and proceed to the church.

"Hello! Welcome!" one of them greeted us. Wow! What is this feeling? It feels so good! How can I feel this?

"Guys! Welcome to the brotherhood and sisterhood," Jean said.

"Oh hello! Have a seat! I'm Sarah," Sarah introduced .

"Wow! So this is what you call church," Karl commented. This chursh isn't as big as I wonder but the way they treat each other is more than I had in my mind. They really treat each other as real brothers and sisters! I'm going to love this church. The mass took two hours but it seems so fast! Wait! Is that a mass?

"Of course not, it's called fellowship," AN whispered. Wait. I thought he can't read minds by now? Whatever!

"Fellowship?" I whispered back.

"Yeah, fellowship," AN answered. After the two-hour fellowship, I just observed tha everyone is moving their chairs so I also did. Two elders are arranging the table and... Whoa! It's food! I never knew that you can have food in church?

"Church. This is just a building of stone but the real church is the believer's heart," AN explained.

"Believer?" I asked. What kind of believer. I saw AN nod and then he said,"Believer, the one who believe in Christ. They are often known as the sons of God". I nodded.

After preparing all the dishes, well, no one is starting to eat. A young teenager stood up and went near the table. She encourage everyone to come or maybe just be with them in a prayer. And the eating starts. After everyone has finished, one by one, they started shaking hands with each other and waved goodbye.

The pastor approached us and smiled. He asked us these questions,"When you die, where woukld you go and why? Do you want to be saved? Do you want to accept God's precious gift?" So we agreed being saved. Of course everyone wants to be in heaven. We prayed for a while and after that, I felt something! It's so good! As if my dream has been accomplished! The pastor once said,"Now that you have accepted God's gift, you need to walk with Him and please Him, okay?" We all nodded. Then the pastor gave us handshakes and we left.

Now that's a church! We arrived home. We're all tired but of what?

AN looked at me and smiled. I asked him,"So what am I gonna do now?"

"Always talk to God in His Word and in prayer," he answered. Confusing. A while ago, in the church the way they pray seemed so natural. I added another question,"AN, how to pray? What I mean is, can you tell me how to pray?" He smiled and answered,"Just talk to Him naturally. Never repeat one prayer. You know, repeating a prayer for just one prayer isn't necessary. Tell Him everything about your day, how you feels everyday and through prayer you can be devoted to Him. Besides, the prayer 'Our Father' isn't a prayer itself. It's a pattern of praying. And the pattern is mostly known as the ACTS; Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplicaton."

"Oh! Is that so? Thank you AN!" I said and went back to my friends. Wait! I forgot something! "AN, can you show me your wings once again?" I asked. He smiled and there revealed his wings. I went behind him and... Plucked feathers! Hahaha! A fistful of feathers. Wait! Doesn't hurt? I went infront of him. Looked at him with confused eyes but he jus smiled. Oh well! Then I continud joining my friends' conversation.

Star joined the conversation and I looked at AN. He smiled and waved goodbye. What? Right now? I'm just starting to like him and now he's leaving?! His clothes turned into white robe, his wings starts to glow and new wings behind his head and feet start to grow. With a flash of light... He's gone!
