Jeez it only seems a month when I'd first joined here and yet, the exam seasons have finally reached us. Luckily I won't have to stress for too many subjects since I'll be leaving for Abu Dabi soon. I'll just attend an exam or two then I'll just be on my way.

In the meantime, I've got assignments to do.

And, Kelly's classes are not working at all. So boring and so plain. And yet, these remarks won't be of any good for my grades, so I dragged myself to work.

The dorm is quiet noisy these days with Amr wanting to practice his violin since he had a test coming up. So the only way I could get some work done was head to the library or a nearby park. Even that was difficult to do. With the rainy weather and students looming with panic caused by exam fever, studying at the park or the library was outta question.

And that's how my friends, I've ended up at Coffee Swirls at 2pm in the afternoon doing my Graphics assignment. When I entered the place, it smelled like sweet heaven with the scents of freshly baked bread and dark aroma of caffeine. I knew Maryam wouldn't be working today since it was a Tuesday so I could definitely get some work done here without seeing anyone glaring at me.

Yet, when I returned with my apple pie ( which is an amazing speciality of the cafe by the way ) I heard a small ahem next to me. And then I saw her.

Maryam Sheikh, with her dreamy green eyes and rosy cheeks which held her milky dimples, sitting next to the table I was on. Her head was bent down, her doing which I understood was the homework we've been given in Graphics class, the homework which she vowed she would get a better grade than me because I got a much better grade than her in Physics.

When she realized it was me, her face turned all tired to see me so I had to be part of the act too.

"Just, why do I have to see you everywhere?" I groaned to which she gave a force laugh.

"Trust me when I say I'm not delighted as well," she replied and returned back to work. I realized I had been staring too hard so I mentally gave myself a slap and got to work.

We were told to draw a three floored villa with a basement and I had my brain completely racked for this. I had to close my eyes and envision on what I wanted it to be like. And... bingo! I had brought out my airpods so I put some Quran on and sharpened my pencils and got my rulers out.
