SALLYS POV
When I woke up in the morning I felt discussing and I was still mad at Shadow by not being there for me. My eyes started watering and i just started thinking to myself. It's only my 2nd time waking up here and I'm still not used to it. It's colder and less homey then my usual room. All the girls where sleeping all besides Jane. She was up mumbling I was trying to hear what she was saying but she said it too fast or was it in another language. Maybe it's a religious thing I didn't question it. I wasn't in the right shoes to. She didn't notice I was up.
~bbbbbbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppp~
The bell for everyone to get up.
A guard walked on the room with a note. "I need Sally and Victoria to report to room 104" all the girls looked confused "Victoria?" I stepped in from of the guard and Zipper to my side she looked at me smiled and nodded then the man motioned for us to follow. He sent us to this room. It had a desk and two chairs in front of it. With a book shelf on the side of the room and a copy machine next to the door. We sat down on the two chairs and waited for something to happen soon a guy walked in with Jane. "It will have to be soon that is her and we gotta do it fast before anything else happens that draws attention to her." Jane told the guy quietly. Then she looked at us. "I'll see you guys later in the cell!" She walked toward the door. As she walked past I looked at her in the eyes and they ain't normal. She passed me and her eyes twinkled black. When that happened it made me think of Shadow and then I filled with anger. Ever since I got here he hasn't been by my side he's just been leaving more. Then the one time I needed him I didn't have him. I'm so fed up with him I don't even know half the stuff he does and while he's out having fun, I'm here serving and paying for his wrongs! I tried not to think about it and get my self worked up. I looked at the guy that is now sitting on the other side of the desk. He crossed his hand and looked at me and Zipper or Victoria whatever she wants to be called I guess. "So lady's do you know why you are here?" We both shook our heads no. "Well you guys both are here regarding a issue we seem to be having with being in the showers and the hall when we ain't suppose to. Does that maybe strike a string or bring up any ideas of why I'm saying this?" I looked at him and just bit my lip and looked down. "Well I guess I'll just tell you what's up. Now a few people seen you guys in the locker room and heard water running and seen you mrs. Framer bring clothes there. Now, we have a set time for you two to shower and the showers were locked so one of you girls have to have a key." I shook my head confused. "um actually it wasn't." I replied in a nasty tone remembering why we had to go in the showers. "Well then probably because one of you to unlocked it."bWe sat in silence for a little. Then the man spoke up "well you guys will be missing breakfast and your run around time and you two will stay in your cell until lunch." He dismissed both of us. Soon the breakfast bell rang and my stomach growled. I didn't eat dinner yesterday nor did I barely get to start eating lunch yesterday. I walked in the cell and plopped on the bed the other girls where gone already. The guards shut us in and locked the cell. My tummy growled once more. "Well now you know my real name and to be honest I hate the name Zipper. Only reason I'm quiet is because most people annoy me, but anyway call me Victoria." She said as she threw me a sandwich in a bag and a bag of chips with a brownie. "Sweet I was hungry thanks" I said unwrapping the sandwich. "No problem I got more stuff if you want more of anything" she offered. "How did you get this stuff?" I questioned stuffing the sandwich in my mouth. "See this vent right here? It leads right to the cafeteria and I'm friends with the volunteer help. Anything I want I just tell them and they send it down." She explained while eating a bag of chips. I finished my sandwich and started eating the brownie. I ate like a staving dog. This was the best food I had in here. I finished the brownie and laid my head on my pillow and heard a crumbling noise. I lifted my head and looked under my pillow and I found the note from my mom once more. I grabbed it pulled and laid back down. Next I opened the chips then the note. I held it in front of me and before I began reading Victoria asked me a question. "What's that?" I looked at her and said. "A note from my mom" I looked at the note once more and read it.
Dear Sally,
I hope your holding on ok. You'll be home before you know it. Don't worry. I've been ok don't worry about me. I met Shadow... I guess you were telling the truth. I'm sorry I flipped on you. I'm just upset I mean the state took my baby out of my home and are keeping Me away from her for a few days it's hard and I just miss you. I love you Sally
Love,
Mom"Must be nice having a mom who cares and wants you home. My mom would give me away in a heart beat." I looked at Victoria and felt sorry for her. "where do you live?" She chuckled. "Here, my mom moved and no one knows we're she is and she changed her number. so I'm pretty much stuck here till I'm 18." I looked down at the note and thought to my self. "I'm sorry... What about your dad?" She frowned. "He died when I was just a baby so I never really new him. I've been in here for about 4 years. This place was fairly new when I arrived. My mom had a rich boyfriend and he was a bad alcoholic and he wrote his will to give all his money to my mom. Once he was done she killed him blamed it on me. That's when she took the money and abandoned me here." I was listening to her story and it was just heart breaking. "How old are you?" I asked. "14... How bout you?" "I am 11 almost 12 in a week. On the 7th." She walked over to me. "That's like 4 days from now." I nodded and sat up so she could sit next to me. "Maybe my mom can take you in." I suggested. She shook her head and walked over to her bunk. "Ima take a nap." She said "ok sweet dreams." She smiled then laid down and covered up. About half an hour later Shadow appeared. *Hey Sally how you hanging in?* I just ignored him laid down as well *Sal?* I got upset. *Go away!*. I yelled at him.
