Female Physical Traits: They tend to be eight feet (or 2.4 meters) tall, with 10 tentacles similar to Earth's octopi, but usually only six of them show, and the other four can be hidden in their soft slimy skin. Females can also secrete an acid from their skin, along with the regular oily substance. The acid is usually between the PH levels of 2.7 and 4, with it varying based on environmental and genetic factors. They have more strength than the males, and slightly thicker tentacles. Their neck frills tend to be more spread out/wider, not going down as far as the males'.
Male Physical Traits: They tend to grow to six feet (or 1.8 meters) tall, with 6 tentacles. Their suction cups have less strength than that of their female counterpart, but they make up for it in numbers of suckers per tentacle. They are also quicker and more flexible than their counterparts. Their neck frills tend to grow more down their neck instead of out, with three bits poking out on each side.
Intersex Physical Traits: They can willingly switch to this, if they have not had sex in a while, and sometimes it happens on its own, or they are born intersex (about 10% of the population) They have anywhere from 6-10 tentacles, and develop both sex organs, although most of the time inactive if not born with. Their hormone levels will most likely be unstable, and their secreted fluids will be the normal kind with a hint of acidity. (PH levels 4-6) Their suckers will be as strong as the females, and as many as the males, but they will usually have the same flexibility of the females or less.
Color to emotions:
Light orange : discomfort
White : horniness
Pink : embarassment
Light green : disgust
Yellow : horror
Blue spots : anger
Black splotches : fear
Light red : happiness
Dark red: hunger
Indigo : drowsiness
Grey : boredom
Brown : shock
Dark green: curiosity/fascination
Purple with yellow splotches : confusion
Other Traits: They need to be damp in some way to survive, as they breathe through water on their skin, although they can survive for up to 1.6 hours in Earth's atmosphere without anything, despite it being extremely painful. They can also squeeze through a space about 2-3 inches wide (as that is their beak size). Their skin also changes colors to match their emotions, although they can learn to control it a bit better. Neck frills show more color than the rest of them.
Reproduction: As most of them can have the option to asexually reproduce through mitosis, they do have sex organs and hormones, so they reproduce both sexually and asexually, with some varying cultural differences within the species that have different opinions on this.
Food: some seaweeds, and any raw meat (preferably from water-based creatures)

Fun facts: Just like some species of Earthern octopi, the females tend to eat their mates after sex. Also they sometimes squirt ink in fear.
