Apocalypse

Jungkook's fingers tap against steering wheel as he waits for light to turn green. His hand hovers over gear after light turns green. There was concealed excitement in him. He was going to meet his daughter. Small smile plays on his lips as he nears the house of his ex wife.

Killing the engine once he reaches the garrage of her house. He glances at her house. It was bigger and well maintained. Better than the small but decent cottage he currently lives in. He walks out and head towards door.

"Dad!" A little girl's voice yells right after the door opens. Jungkook immediately gets on his knees and take her in his arms. His arms strongly wrapped around his little world. "My baby! How are you?" He asks still hugging her. "I'm good dad! Come inside." She says. Jungkook gets up with holding her securely in his arms. He walks inside, closing the door behind.

"You know dad, mom made cookies! I helped her too!" Little girl informs him excitedly as he walks inside further in living room. He stop when he spots two figure.

"Hi." Y/n, his ex wife, greets with welcoming smile. Beside her is her boyfriend, Jimin. "Hey, man!" Jimin raises his palm to wave. "Hey." He greets back. He feels tap on shoulder. "Dad, put me down." The little girl says making jungkook obey her. Once down she sprints away.

Jungkook steps closer and stands behind sofa. "She was waiting for long." Y/n says. Jungkook nods in response and looks at the way his little girl ran. Soon small thuds are audible to them. "Areum! baby, don't run." Y/n says but the little one was already before them.

Areum had jar of cookies in her arms. The jar was big that it appeared like she was hugging it. Three of them smile at the adorable sight. She forwards the jar towards Jungkook. "Dad! Try it! Try it!" Smile paints his lips at her request. He briefly glances at y/n to find her smiling at Areum. He takes one from jar and takes bite.

Areum stares at him with big curious eyes. She got it from him. "How is it?" She asked impatiently. He bends down to her level and kisses her cheeks. "It's the best." He whispers and strokes her cheeks warmly. Her lips curvs up in beautiful smile she had from her mother.

Jungkook sets Areum on his lap while she talks about her school life. "You are going to be in 3rd grade soon." Jungkook says as he pats her head. They talk about alot of things, sharing details about time they aren't together.

"Have lunch before going." Y/n says as she gets up to move towards kitchen. Jungkook looks up. "Ohh..no. It's ok. Don't bother about it." He says, waving his hands. He did wanted to. It's been long since he had taste of food from her hands. But he was feeling uneasy about it since now they aren't together and she had boyfriend. Even though she was the one to offer.

"It's not bother." Jimin says gently. Three of them were in good terms since they didn't separated on bad note. Y/n agrees. "I have already cooked, don't worry. She will love it too." She gesture towards Areum. "Yes! Dad, have lunch with us." Areum pouts her lips to convince him. He smiled and pinched her cheeks. "How can I say no to my little angel..."

They sits on dining chairs while y/n serves food. Areum sits on host chair in middle of everyone. Y/n and Jimin on her left while jungkook sits facing them, on right side of Areum. For her request, jungkook feeds Areum while Jimin and y/n watch them softly.

After lunch ends, jungkook gets ready to leave. Areum was in jimin's arms. "I got surprise for you." Jungkook says smiling. "What!? What surprise??!!" Areum asks eagerly. Jimin passes her to jungkook as they walk out of house. Jimin and y/n follows behind.

Jungkook puts her down and picks bicycle from roof rack. Areum excitedly claps her hands to see the gift. Jungkook's heart melts to see her reaction. Y/n stares at the joy on her little girl's face. Jimin too smiles at scene.
