The sound of running water wakes me and I turn to see Toni's side of the bed empty. I sigh placing my hand on her spot and I can tell she has been up for a while because her spot is cold. Not just that though, the whole night I felt her tossing and turning, getting in and out of the bed and I finally got up to find her sitting on patio. She wouldn't tell me what was going on with her but she did get in bed and get a little sleep which is good.
But she is hiding something and I'm worried. Scared nearly with her running off yesterday and everything that had been going on with her sister on top of her health, she has been going through a lot and I am concerned that it is too much for her.
I let out a deep sigh and go to get out of bed just as the water shuts off. A few minutes later Toni comes out wrapped in a fluffy towel and drying off her hair with another one. "Good morning baby" she says looking at me with a bright smile that warms me instantly.
"Good morning baby, you feeling better?" I ask pulling the blanket off of me. "I am" she says and I don't believe her at all. "Really? Even though you were up all night moving around?" I ask and she hums softly and comes over to me. I move my legs back so she can sit beside me and I take over drying her hair.
"I'm sorry if I kept you up Jan" she says softly. "I'm not worried about you keeping me up, I'm worried about what is keeping you up baby. Talk to me" I say placing the towel down. I grab her hips and turn her gently so she is facing me.
She sighs looking away briefly before looking back at me. "I've been thinking about my mother a lot recently with everything that has been going on and I-I just miss her a lot. I wish she was here."
My heart breaks for her and I pull her into my arms not caring that she is still kind of wet from her shower. "Oh baby I'm sorry" I say rubbing her back as she sighs deeply. "Yeah...I'm better now though, being here with you and that wonderful shower of yours. That water pressure let me tell you" she says making me laugh.
"You are so silly" I say leaning back and taking a look at her, "and absolutely stunning." I take in the glow that seems to be surrounding her today, a bright smile placed on her face as she stares at me with bright eyes.
"You are such a charmer" she says leaning down to peck my lips. "How did I get so lucky to have you?" She questions and I pull her into my lap so she is straddling me. "You sitting on me in nothing but a towel on and you think you are the lucky one?" I say running my hands over her sides.
"Mm well if you think that is lucky wait until you see me with the towel off" she says making me smirk. "Is that right baby?" I ask making her nod, "you bet it is baby, it feels like forever since you have been in my mou-" a knock sounds on the door interrupting Toni and my rising libido.
"Mama? Ma! Ma! I'm hungry and I can't find nothing to eat in this big as-mazing house!" Caleb calls out and I groan softly as Toni chuckles moving off of me. "Raincheck?" She says with a wink before going to the bathroom to finish get decent, though I was trying to do some indecent things to her just a few seconds earlier.
