Third person's pov

"The 'parcel', it's me."
"WHAT? How can it be you?"
"I don't know how to answer that...."
"You're a human."
"I'm aware."
"No, I mean how can you be 'the parcel'?"
She looked down sadly at that. Ishan saw his mother looking confused and to spare her trauma, Ishan led the girl outside.
"How did this happen?"

The girl finally looked up and said,
"Your Kaki Sa was finding rishta's for Shubman Gill."
"Yes, I'm aware."
"My mother met the Gill family in the presence of your Kaki Sa and since they knew Shubman would deny for the wedding, they decided to send me directly to his house."
The girl wasn't the only heartbroken one, she was unaware that the guy next to her listening to all of this had been even more heartbroken from this revelation.

"Their main aim is to let me get pregnant, so that they have an heir for the Gill industries. Even if Shubman refused to marry me after that, I don't think they would mind."
"What did your mother think about that?"
"She doesn't really care because she would get heavily paid for this. Plus the child would be taken aswell, so my mother wouldn't have any additional responsibilities."
Ishan felt bad for the girl, she didn't deserve any of this.

"What's your name?"
"Tanya."
"I'm Ishan. How old are you?"
"I'm 20."
Ishan felt even worse because the girl was so young.
"I'm older than you, I'm 22."
"What about Shubman?"
"He just turned 25."
She nodded smiling a little. Ishan wondered if Tanya had been expecting a fairytale, with Shubman falling for her and marrying her in the end.

Ishan sure hoped not, because if so the girl was in for a heartbreak. Ishan then wondered if it could actually be true. I mean it wasn't really impossible to fall for someone you started living with. Somehow Ishan hated the possibility of Shubman falling for someone else though. He knew he was being a hypocrite, because he was the one pushing Shubman away, but he couldn't help it. Shaking these thoughts out of his head, he focused on guiding Tanya back to Shubman's house.

"What is Shubman like?"
"Didn't you meet him already?"
Tanya just nodded and so Ishan started with a small smile on his face.
"He is extremely rich, extremely smart, extremely good looking but most importantly he's extremely kind."
"I can accept all of these except 'extremely nice'. Like really? He maybe nice to you, but he didn't seem extremely nice while kicking me out."
"Uh- yeah sorry about that."

"Nah, it isn't your fault or his, honestly. If someone's parents suddenly sent a girl at their house and expected them to marry her, who wouldn't react like that?"
Ishan just nodded at that, realizing how hard it must have been for Shubman aswell. They reached Shubman's house and rung the doorbell. On the other hand Shubman, had been feeling anxious because of his argument with Ishan.

He had been pacing his house, thinking about calling Ishan, wanting to talk to him, when he heard the doorbell. He opened the door excitedly and when he spotted Ishan, he let out a big grin, with his dimples showing.
"I'm so sorry-"
He tried to apologize but he stopped midway when he spotted the girl behind Ishan. His smile instantly changed into a frown and he clenched his teeth in anger.

"What is she doing here?"
He asked Ishan and then he looked at the girl and said,
"Didn't I tell you to get out?"
"Shubman! Behave yourself."
Tanya looked at Ishan, scared of his sudden bossy attitude towards Shubman and feared what Shubman would do to Ishan, assuming the worst, but when Shubman just clenched his teeth and fists but didn't argue further, Tanya was confused.

Ishan pushed Shubman to the side and asked Tanya to enter the house. With hesitation visible in her body, she slowly entered Shubman's house while eyeing him wearily. It would be an understatement to say Tanya was shocked. She was beyond shocked at their behavior and how Ishan was controlling Shubman, without being six feet under the ground already. Sure, Shubman looked pissed as hell, but the anger was not directed towards Ishan, despite Ishan's behavior. Tanya was confused about the relationship between them, because she knew Shubman wasn't one to be nice or listen to anyone.

"Tanya sit-"
Before Ishan could complete his sentence, Shubman grabbed his bicep and pulled him back towards himself. As they made eye contact, Ishan could see the hurt visible on Shubman's face.
"Why are you doing this?"
Shubman asked softly, sounding kind of defeated.
"She has nowhere else to go Shub."
"So? How is that my problem? Just because she has nowhere else to go, am I supposed to marry her?"
Shubman said snapping at Ishan a little.
That angered Ishan.

"Well like it or not, she's staying here."
"So according to you, I should marry her?"
"Ye- ye- that's what you should do."
They stood their holding their eye contact for a couple minutes.
"Fine! Do whatever the fuck you want. See if I care."
Saying that Shubman barged into his room, shutting the door harshly after him, leaving Ishan and Tanya in the hall.
"Don't worry, he'll come around."
Tanya just nodded at Ishan and he left after giving his number to her and asked him to call if she needed something.

The next day, Ishan was bringing groceries to their house and since he had the keys, he just opened the door without ringing the doorbell. He was planning to leave the groceries in the kitchen and quietly leave but when he turned around there stood Shubman. He got startled by Shubman but before he could whine about it Shubman said,
"I don't think you can just enter my house as you please now. There's a girl in the house remember?"
Ishan looked at Shub, surprised and clearly hurt but he masked it.

Ishan nodded sadly and removed the keys from his pocket about to hand them to Shubman but then Shubman shook his head.
"You can keep them with you until we get married."
