Guerrero fight and Texas and Isabella Make a Discovery

Guerrero and Allatriste stood a few paces apart from each other. Guerrero had affixed the bayonet to the end of his rifle.

"You sure you just wanna fight with the bayonet? I don't mind if you try shooting me." Allatriste asked, staring Guerrero down

"It is alright, I believe it would do me better to practice with my bayonet than to practice my riflemanship," Guerrero responded. "Plus, this way I can also ensure I have ammo in case I need it."

"True" was all Allatriste said. With that, he gave the signal to begin the match.

Guerrero starts by quickly closing the distance. If I can keep him reacting to me then I prevent him from using his witchcraft, he thought. True to his word Guerrero maintained a very aggressive stance, due to this Allatriste is quickly put on the back foot.

Allatriste keeps focusing all his attention on deflecting and defending from Guerrero's attacks. He is skilled, he thrusts and slashes with his weapon are done very minimally and quickly. Despite how it looked Allatriste maintained a very calm demeanor analyzing the pattern of Guerrero's attacks.

Suddenly he stumbled back, it looked like Guerrero broke Allatriste defenses. Guerrero steps forward to capitalize on it. As he does Allatriste flicks his saber, pushing Guerrero's rifle to the side, and then Allatriste quickly steps forward to deliver a quick slice to Guerrero.

Guerrero sees his rifle get pushed aside, so realizing this ain't good, he drops it to attempt a tackle on Alatriste. He charges forth and before he can react he gets punched in the side of the head.

Allatriste helps Guerrero get back up and hands him his rifle l. "You did good getting me to focus on defense. The issue is you didn't have much of a strategy besides just attacking. Next time try to think more than just one or two steps ahead." Allatriste explained.

Guerrero just nodded his head as Allatriste explained to him what he could improve upon. "When I fought Isabela you noticed how she constantly changed her style, this was her adapting to how I fight. She also attempted this to find a way to counter my style of fighting." Allatriste explained.

Guerrero seemed to be thinking about all of this, it was hard to tell because of the gas mask. "What you are saying is when we fought I was relying a lot on the same attack," Guerrero answered back.

Allatriste nodded, "It easy to see you are a very well-trained soldier, especially compared to Isabella, but this makes you easy to counter. The reason is that a trained fighter is easy to read and predictable. Hence it is a double-edged sword." Allatriste continued. "As such try to break these old habits, and instead try to mix it up."

Back during the fight, just as Guerrero and Allatriste started their fight, Texas and Isabella made themself a spot on the sidelines where they could watch the fight but not be in the middle. As they were watching Texas couldn't help but notice Isabella's mag floating near her, the occasional beeping made it very difficult to hear.

"If you don't mind me asking is that thing supposed to beep like that," Texas asked gesturing towards the Mag.

"Yes the Mag beeps as part of its functions, it signifies that it has completed a scan and ia transiting that information to me," Isabella replied.

"So you mean to tell me that you communicate with that device," Texas asked, curiosity about this overtaking her interest in the fight.

'Yes, but it is more of a one-way communication. The mag mostly sends me data, and then using my artificial enchantments I can visualize the information into a small mental map." Isabella explained.

"So out of curiosity, if I wanted to could I possibly communicate with you in the same way," Texas asked, her eyes gleaming with interest.

"I am not sure, no one attempted that before. Granted sometimes we as arks could communicate with one another, but that was usually through the mag." Isabella asked as she thought about how to go about it. "I believe it may be possible, why do you believe you have a way."

Texas in response closed her eyes, as if she was thinking. Suddenly within Isabella's mind, a strange staticky sound was heard. Hello, can you hear me Isabella, Isabella suddenly heard Texas's voice in her head.

"How did you do that," Isabella asked.

"Simple, I have a radio set built into me, and as such I used it to scan the frequencies until you heard me," Texas responded.

"Interesting I would never have thought of that," Isabella responded. She decided to attempt to talk back to Texas through this new method of communication. She closed her eyes and attempted something similar to when she visualized the map that she would create when receiving the information from her mag.

Hello, Texas can you hear me, she thought, attempting to visualize sending that message through the antennas attached to the sides of her head. Texas smiled as she received the message and happily nodded back to Isabella.

"Maybe we can also modify the scroll that Allatriste has to receive these same signals," Isabella said. As they look towards the fight they see it has already been completed and that they had missed the whole thing. Either way, they stood up and walked over to the two combatants, and listened in to what Allatriste was saying to Guerrero.
