Chapter 1: How they had their twins

Jennie and Lisa were excited. Why? It’s because they’re going to start being parents. Well, technically, they are going to try to use the newly advanced type of IVF where they make the DNA of the partner into faux sperm to create a baby, and I know that sounds impossible, but it’s the future, so it’s possible already. Jennie and Lisa are ready to have a kid.

Jennie and Lisa were in Japan, as it’s the first country to do this advanced type of research, and it took a while because the two were busy with their schedules. They were first told the risks, as there’s a 50/50 chance it might work, and they had to wait a week to see if it would work or not before doing the procedure. And it was one week later, and Jennie decided to check with a pregnancy test to see if it worked. After a minute of waiting, she saw the results, and her smile widened. She called Lisa, who was teaching choreography to a new GG since she is a dance choreographer now. “What is it, Jen?" Lisa asked. ”Lisa, it worked; I’m pregnant!“ Jennie told Lisa excitedly.

Hearing that shocked Lisa, and it made her happy to hear the news. “Really!” she shouted, then saw everyone staring at her and quieted down. “I mean, really, are you sure?” she asked again. “Yes, Lili, I’m pregnant,” Jennie said again with tears as Lisa jumped. “OK, I’m going to go home after this. Wait for me,” she said to Jennie, who said okay, and after the call, the smile on Lisa’s face couldn’t be taken off, so she decided to stop the dance practice as she needed to look serious, to which she decided to go home. As she got to the house, she gave her wife a hug, as the two were happy they were going to be parents.

They didn’t tell anybody at first, as they wanted to enjoy knowing the news of being parents first. After a few months, they told their families and friends, who were excited for them, and kept it a secret for a while as they wanted to keep it private for a bit. Jennie was glad that she had Jisoo, who was also pregnant, and that she wasn’t alone during this, and it made her happy that she was able to share the pregnancy experience with her best friend.

Fast forward to now: Jennie is now 4 months pregnant, and she’s been getting a lot of cravings recently. Her cravings are food that can be considered weird but not expired, like that one time she asked Lisa for a tuna sandwich with whipped cream on top, much to the amusement and confusion of Lisa, who did her request. Other than that, Lisa doesn’t mind waking up at 2:30 in the morning to satisfy Jennie’s cravings for more weird food combinations she requests. Lisa was more glad that Jennie didn’t suffer from heightened mood swings; she just has these weird food cravings, but Lisa wouldn’t have it either way.

During the 5th month, Jennie was starting to show, so she took a break from her schedule, which was understandable. And now she was just lying in their bed, but she felt something in her stomach and immediately understood what was happening: “LISA, THE BABY IS KICKING!” As soon as she shouted those words, Lisa immediately ran to their room. “Wait for real?” she asked Jennie, who nodded, and Lisa was able to feel it, which made her crumple a bit. “I can’t wait to meet you,” she whispered, making Jennie smile. After that, Lisa took the picture of the second ultrasound picture, and after a talk, she posted it on Instagram with the caption “I really can’t wait to meet you,” and that’s how everyone found out that she and Jennie were expecting, and it made everyone happy.

Jennie is now 7 months pregnant, and today is also the day that they’ll learn the gender of their baby. The two did not care for the gender, only the health of their baby, and here they’ll find out they’ll be having twins. It started when their OB-GYN was doing an ultrasound on Jennie, and they were at first happy to learn that they were having a girl, but then they noticed the doctor looked shocked. “What’s wrong, Doc?” Lisa asked with a worried expression. “Oh, nothing, Miss Manobal, but there’s something you need to know, the doctor said, making the two curious: “it seems you’re actually having twins.” The doctor revealed shockingly to Lisa and Jennie, “Well, it’s normal for women who have done IVF procedures to have twins.” She explained, “But why wasn’t the other one spotted?“ Jennie asks, “Well, it seems that your daughter took up most of the space that we didn’t notice the other heartbeat.” Their doctor explained more: “So is our son alright?" Jennie asks, “Yes, he is alright and healthy; there’s nothing to worry about.” She reassures them. After that, the couple thanked their doctor and headed home, happy to learn that they were having twins.

They told their family about who congratulated them, and Jisoo jokingly told them good luck. After a month, they decided to reveal to the world that they were having twins, which made a lot of people congratulate them. They never post anything about the pregnancy; only when talked about, they will say something about it, which shows how private they are about this, and the fans are just happy to get this news from them. Fast forward a few months, and Jennie was now 9 months pregnant, she was nearing the due date of their child’s birth, and she was excited, as was Lisa, to meet their twins. Currently, Jennie is with Jisoo and Sofia, cooing over Jisoo’s son Yong-woo, as she had given birth 2 months ago, while Lisa is currently in her dance studio.

The two then asked Jisoo, who told them they wouldn’t be getting sleep for a while but that she was happy to have this one. “Do you want water, Unnie?” she asks Jisoo, who nods at Jennie, who stands up, but before she could take a few steps, she felt something and turned around. “Guys, I think my water just broke,” she says to the two who looked shocked, and good thing Hae-In was there to drive them to the hospital, as Rosé then calls Lisa. “What chaeng?” she asked Rosé. “Lisa, come quick; Jennie is giving birth!” Rosé told her the news, to Lisa’s shock. She immediately hung up the phone, told another person to teach the class, and immediately drove to the hospital.

Everyone was at the hospital, and they saw Lisa running towards them. They weren’t able to say anything as she ran past them, spotting a doctor. “How’s my wife?” she asks in an almost panicked tone. The doctor looks at her. “Hello, Miss Manoban, don’t worry; the twins are not out yet, but she’s currently in labor,” she tells her and lets Lisa inside the ER and sees Jennie, who smiles upon seeing her, then goes back to being in pain as she pushes again while Lisa continues to comfort her.

It has been 5 hours, and Lisa is getting worried for Jennie. To her and Jennie’s relief, they heard the doctor say that they saw the head of the baby, and Jennie continued till she was able to push the baby, which they gave to Lisa as Jennie still had to push for the second one, and after 5 minutes, she pushed out the second child. “You did it, Nini,” Lisa said with a smile as they both looked at their babies. “Yeah, we did,” Jennie said out of breath, but then she closed her eyes. “Jennie? Jennie!” Lisa said in fear as Jennie closed her eyes, and she almost thought the worst had happened until the doctor checked up on her. “Don’t worry, Miss Manoban, your wife passed out because giving birth is understandably tiring, and don’t worry, she’s breathing,” the doctor explained to Lisa, who calmed down as she looked at her kids, and a few seconds later, Jennie woke up.

The first thing she did when she woke up was wanting to know where her kids were and what happened to her. After Lisa explained, the nurses gave her their kids, and she started breastfeeding them. “So, what’s it like?” Lisa asked, “It’s a weird feeling.” Jennie replied, “Is it different from how I do it?" She whispers, but it’s more of a joke as Jennie looks at her. “Yes….” She says hesitantly, which made Lisa chuckle, and Jennie rolls her eyes and smiles at her babies. After that, the babies went to sleep. “So, what are we going to name them?” Jennie asked Lisa, who then thought about it: “How about Lukas and Luna?” Lisa asks Jennie, “Naming our kids with the letter L, huh?” Jennie teases, making Lisa laugh softly, “But I love their names, and it’s perfect for them.” Jennie says to Lisa, who smiles as she holds Lukas and cradles him softly, and the two notice that Lukas has Jennie’s eyes and lips, but he has her nose, while Luna has her eyes and lips and Jennie’s nose, and they think that’s adorable.

After a while, they let their family enter the room, and all of them held the child one by one, with Jisoo teasing Lisa for a bit as she named her child with the letter L, while Jennie and Jisoo started planning the play date for their babies after Sofia gives birth next month. While everyone was giving the child attention, Lisa and Jennie looked at each other. “We’re parents,” Lisa said to Jennie, who nodded and said, “we’re going to be great parents.” Jennie told Lisa, who smiled and nodded and saw her mom give the kids back to Jennie, and after that they all left to give her some more rest, and the two decided to introduce their kids to the world but only pictured their feet and hands, wanting to give their privacy, and after posting that on their social media, they continued to lovingly stare at their babies as they promised they would protect them and be good parents. Parenthood ain’t easy, but they will do everything to raise them right. Right now, all they can do is enjoy the moment of having kids.
