"Don't let go of me." Suguru said as he held my hand tightly. The same feeling from when we went to that first mission came back. But thoughts of Satoru and the horrible smell of the place mixed with them, resulting in my brain to completely fog up.

I wanted to cry, that's for sure. I wanted to just curl up in my bed and let my feelings out. But I knew I couldn't do that. Not right now. I needed to be strong for Satoru... and Suguru... and I needed to fight that spirit with Suguru and win.

We opened various of doors together, searched every inch of the classrooms before we moved to another one. Because the smallest of curses could do catastrophes. Until we reached a specific classroom. It was the science lab. As soon as we opened the door, the energy and the smell was basically oozing out of that room.

We entered the lab, making sure not to close the door so we could get out without it stopping us. In the far corner, we saw a lanky figure curled up it's arms around its knees and it's head resting low on top of them. He  seemed to have noticed us and slowly looked up. Its face was skinny and long, skin practically sagging as if it's about to fall off. It slowly started standing up, only thing covering it was ripped clothes. Its bones could be seed from how thin it looked.

I was about to make the first move, before Suguru put a hand infront of me, signaling me to stay back and wait.

The cursed spirit eventually made the first move. It's legs stretched inhuman dimensions, making it's way right infront of us. Suguru's and my first district was to catch it, so I unraveled my right forearm and Suguru released a long cursed spirit he had consumed before. We both went to catch it, but it became shorted and wider, dodging our attacks. Suguru and I shared a look. Both acknowledging that defeating this thing would be difficult.

I ran to the other side of the room while Suguru stayed there. The curse didn't turn around, instead it focused on Suguru who was trying to distract it, so it would notice me and I unraveled my whole arm.

Pause! A bit about the technique: 1cm of every layer of the skin on a hand for example equals to 1cm of rope, so if Suki was to unravel a finger the length of the rope would be the area of the epidermis, the area of the dermis and the area of the hypodermis of the finger. She can unravel only one of those, but that would result in loosing blood. Another thing is that the closer she unravels to the heart, the more painful and dangerous it becomes, that's why she prefers to do her right arm. Let's continue.

I slowly reached the spirit with the string and managed to catch it in a tight hold. Suguru and I looked at eachother and smiled. I began squeezing the shit out of it, watching it struggle. It then became a liquid, spreading all over the ground. That was it! I defeated a grade 1 cursed spirit and I would finally get a promotion! I was so happy I even forgot to retrieve my strings.

The smile was wiped off my face when part of that liquid became solid and formed an arm. The hand turned into a giant scissor and before I could retrieve my string. Chop! It was cut in two.

The pain was unbearable. It was like getting my hand chopped off. But I did. Eyes wide, screaming, holding onto my forearm that was now half gone along with my hand. Suguru shouted for me to leave, that he would bring my string back. I couldn't hear him clearly, his voice was muffled, but I could make out some words and quickly left the room. I held my arm trying to stop the bleeding, but to no avail. I left a blood trail behind me as I made my way further into the corridors of the school until I was too tired. I collided on a wall and slid down, silently crying, wishing for the pain to just go away.

"Suki?" I heard a voice. Was I dreaming? No. I turned my head to the side, and even tho I wasn't able to see well, I could make out the white hair and dark sunglasses. "S'toru..." I mumbled. "W-what happened... why is your arm gone?" He asked. "Curse..." I answered, my eyelids getting heavier by the second. "Please stay with me, Suki... don't fall asleep. Suki? Su-" I couldn't hear him anymore, his voice faded away. Everything turned black and I was completely knocked out.

"Wake up, Suki." A voice was heard.

"Huh?"

I looked around. Darkness.

"Wake up." The voice repeated. "You have to wake up. You can't stay here."

The voice was smooth, but it sounded like it was determined to get me out of where I was. I couldn't make out if it was a female or male voice.

"Where am I? Am I dead?" I asked.

"It doesn't matter, my dear, you're going to forget about all of this. You have to go back to your friends. Wake. Up."

I regained my consciousness back. The room I woke up in was cold, a monitor beeping. I looked around, it looked like Shoko's infirmary. A few nurses and Shoko were there too. They all looked at me, relief washing over their faces.

"Suki! You're awake!" Shoko rushed to my side. "You've been out for 2 days, we were so worried. Geto was here with you 24/7 while Gojo refused to get out of his dorm, only getting out for basic human nessecities." She said, running a few more check ups.

Only then I realized how much they actually cared about me.
