"...What?" I looked at them dumbfounded. "Can you please elaborate?" I asked. "Of course." The lady said. "Suki, have you ever questioned how none of your family members posses cursed energy yet somehow you have it? Or how they know about cursed technique in the first place?" I replied with silence.
Truth is that I've thought about this and other weird things before many times, but always brushed the thoughts away. I was even calling myself stupid for even thinking about them! But that lady was going to explain everything, and no matter how bad it might've hurt me, I wanted to know the truth. I was ready for the truth.
"Your real father, Kaito Furugawa, was the hair of the head of the Furugawa, clan. He had great potential, he was a great sorcerer and would eventually make a great future head of the clan. Everybody adored him. When he and your mother met, they were young and naive.
They had you at a very young age, but loved you regardless. The clan, however wouldn't be happy if they found out that your mother was a non curse user and since your father was the future head, that would put an immediate bounty on you and her. Your parents didn't want to risk such a thing so they decided to keep you and your mother a secret.
You two moved to Osaka in an average house. Your mother worked a regular nine to five job while you went to daycare. Overall you lived a normal life and your father would constantly sent you letters along with a pay check.

Chiyo's POV:
While I was feeding my precious little daughter, I heard a knock on the door. I rolled my eyes and placed Suki in her crib.
"Who could it be?" I thought while I made my way to the door. I slowly opened it halfway to find an unfamiliarity man standing infront of me. "Hello..." I said, still not opening it fully, as my daughter was still in there. "Is this Chiyo Matsui?" The man asked. "Yeah." I replied. "My name is Hanzo Susuki. I'm sorry that I have to deliver these news to you, but the Furugawa clan has been completely wiped out by multiple cursed users. The father of your child hasn't made it either." The man said, looking down.
My eyes widened and my lips parted. "My... Kaito? He's dead..." I managed to mutter out covering my mouth, tears falling down on my cheeks and to the ground. "I'm afraid so... yes. Kaito was a very dear friend to me, you know." He said, tears welling up in his waterline. "I'm sorry, I- I have to go." He said and turned around to leave. "Wait!" I stopped him. "Please come by sometime."
