A lil inspo from pintrest😶___________
In the heart of Seoul's bustling university district, an ancient secret lurked. Min Yoongi, a vampire with a devilish smile and a reputation for charm, had wandered through centuries, his beauty unaging and allure irresistible. His latest target was none other than Kim Namjoon, a brilliant but seemingly aloof student who spent more time with books than with people.
Yoongi first encountered Namjoon in the university library, where he was seated alone, surrounded by thick volumes of philosophy and quantum physics. The vampire's keen eyes caught the subtle twitch of Namjoon's eyebrow as he struggled to decipher a particularly dense text.
"Need some help with that?" Yoongi's voice was smooth, a melody in the silence of the library.
Namjoon looked up, his eyes meeting Yoongi's. There was a flicker of curiosity, but no hint of the usual flustered response Yoongi was accustomed to. "Sure," Namjoon said, sliding the book across the table. "If you can explain Gödel's incompleteness theorems in layman's terms, be my guest."
Yoongi sat down, a little taken aback by the nonchalant response. He had expected a shy smile, perhaps a bit of nervous laughter. Instead, Namjoon seemed completely unfazed by his presence. Intrigued, Yoongi leaned forward, glancing at the text before launching into an explanation that was as seductive in its clarity as it was informative.
As the weeks passed, Yoongi found himself drawn into Namjoon's world of academic pursuits. He offered to help with homework, their late-night sessions turning into a ritual. Namjoon's apartment became a second home for Yoongi, the walls lined with books and the air thick with the scent of coffee and ink.
"You're not like other people," Yoongi remarked one evening, his voice barely a whisper. "You don't seem affected by...well, this." He gestured to himself, his perfectly chiseled features and piercing eyes.
Namjoon looked up from his notes, a slight smile playing on his lips. "That's because I'm not. I'm asexual."
"Is that right?" The admission caught Yoongi off guard. He had encountered many things in his long life, but this was new. "So, you're not attracted to anyone?"
"Not in the way most people are," Namjoon replied, his eyes steady on Yoongi's.
"Should we test it?" Yoongi smirked, a mischievous glint in his eye. Namjoon eyed him almost bored.
"On what grounds? I don't need to prove anything. Especially not to you." Namjoon stated calmly. Yoongi considered the younger man before taking a step closer.
"Are you afraid I might prove you wrong?"
"No. I'm really not." Namjoon replied coolly. In a flash, Yoongi was right under Namjoon's nose, eyes flashing a deep red. He paused, using all his seductive power to play.
"You smell... you smell so good... so delicious..." Yoongi rasped out, sniffing the air before nuzzling his nose against Namjoon's neck. Namjoon shifted in his seat uncomfortably before producing something from his pocket.
"I mean, did you want some?" Namjoon questioned, flashing the object. Yoongi looked down at said object and didn't know whether to laugh or be offended. It was a slice of ham.
Yoongi's seductive demeanor faltered as he stared at the ham. "What... what is that?"
"Ham," Namjoon said nonchalantly, holding it up. "You said I smell good. I thought you might be hungry."
For a moment, Yoongi was speechless. He had never been so thoroughly disarmed. His usual tactics of seduction, his centuries of practiced charm, all seemed absurd in the face of Namjoon's calm, almost amused response. He straightened up, stepping back to regain his composure.
"You're serious?" Yoongi asked, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
Namjoon nodded, the corners of his mouth twitching with a suppressed smile. "Dead serious. You looked like you needed a snack."
Yoongi couldn't help it; he laughed. A deep, genuine laugh that echoed in the quiet room. "You really are something else, Namjoon."
Namjoon shrugged, placing the ham back in his pocket. "I told you, I'm not interested in that kind of thing. But I do appreciate your help with my studies. If you're hungry, though, I can order some food."
Yoongi shook his head, still chuckling. "No, that's alright. Besides, I can't actually eat human food. I'm a vampire, remember?"
Namjoon raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "So, all you can consume is blood?"
"Pretty much," Yoongi replied, a hint of a smirk returning to his lips. "Though I appreciate the thought."
Namjoon smiled, returning to his notes. "Well, if you ever need a blood donor, I know a place where you can get it without all the theatrics."
Yoongi's eyes softened, genuinely touched by the offer. "Thanks, Namjoon. I'll keep that in mind."
"I may not fall all over you like you expect, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy your company. You're smart, and you help me with my studies. That's more than enough."
"Noted." Yoongi stepped back from Namjoon's personal space."You know," he began, "I could help you with more than just homework."
Namjoon looked up, his expression thoughtful. "I appreciate the offer, Yoongi. But right now, this is all I need. Your help, your company. It's...enough."
Yoongi nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. For the first time in centuries, he felt a connection that went beyond the physical. He realized that seduction wasn't always about desire; sometimes, it was about understanding, respect, and genuine companionship.
"How old are you anyway?" Namjoon questioned, turning back to his notes.
"A couple of centuries. Why?" Yoongi leaned back outstretched, pink tongue darting out to flick over his fangs.
"Well, i got this latin project for my history class, and i was wondering if you could fact-check it. " Namjoon perused over his notes before sliding a book over to Yoongi. "Assuming you do speak Latin?" He looked up, eyebrow perked. Yoongi scoffed.
"I do indeed speak the language. " Yoongi's expression did not go unnoticed. "Very well might i add."
"French, perhaps?"
"Actually, i was in France for several years -"
"Excellent! Can you quiz me on irregular verbs? I have a test on Friday."
Yoongi felt a strange sensation, a mixture of respect and frustration. He was used to using his looks and charm to get what he wanted, but with Namjoon, those tools were useless. Instead, he found himself engaging in deep conversations, learning about things he had never cared for before.
As Yoongi stared down at the human, he realized that Namjoon was unlike anyone he had ever met. Their relationship would never be conventional, but it was undeniably unique. For the first time in his long life, Yoongi felt a connection that wasn't based on physical attraction or desire. It was something deeper, more genuine. And as they resumed their studies, he found himself more intrigued by Namjoon than ever.
And so, the vampire and the asexual student continued their nightly rituals, a unique bond forming between them. In helping Namjoon with his studies, Yoongi discovered something unexpected: a sense of purpose that had nothing to do with seduction and everything to do with friendship.
