4 - Fake Boyfriend

"Jungwon.." I said

It took us a minute to get back to our senses as we heard the cashier speak.

"What are you-" I was immediately cut off by the cashier

"Excuse me! Mr. Yang, I must say I really love your work." The cashier said

"Ah..thank you.." he bows he places an item on the counter

"Oh please sir! This one's on me!" She said

"Oh, no! I'll pay for it." He said and giving his credit card

"Wow, so humble of you, Sir. Thank you!" She said

He thanks her and moves closer to me.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" He asks

I was a bit hesitant after what I told him at work. But I finally agreed and followed him.

"Get in.." he said as he opens the car door

"Really?" I scoffed

"Don't wanna risk the paparazzis.." he said as I head inside

He goes to the other side of the car and gets in. He pulls over to a quiet area.

"Here.." he pulls something from his pocket

My eyes widened as I saw my old keychain that I lost hours ago.

"How did you get this??" I asked

"You actually bumped into me before you went to the company..you were running and didn't notice me." He said

"I did? Well, I'm sorry.." I said

"It's okay. Uhm and also, happy birthday." He said and took a paper bag

I looked at him and sighed.

"Don't give me that.." I said

"What? I know you told me that we should forget about each other's existence the other day but I don't think I have the right to disrespect you in that way. Despite being co-workers, I want us to be friends instead.." he said

"Jungwon.."

"So, I can't be friends with you either?" He asked

"You care about what the people think more than you care about yourself. You would know what would happen after if the public saw us together."

"Yunji..being friends wouldn't hurt us. The people didn't know I was dating you back then and it was all just rumors. So, if you trust me, everything will be okay." He said

I look up at him and saw determination in his eyes. I let out a chuckle and he was confused.

"Just promise me..." I said not completing the sentence

He tilts his head out of confusion and I sighed

"You won't fall for me again." I said

"Hah! More like you would fall for ME again! I'm the one who said we should stay friends, right? I mean, how can someone not fall for my looks?" He laughs

I rolled my eyes and we head back to my apartment.

I noticed a lonely figure outside and realized it was Riki waiting for me.

"Stop the car!!" I said and he stops at the side

"What are you doing outside??" I asked running towards Riki

"Where were you, Yunji?" Riki asks with a worried look

Jungwon comes out of his car, all covered up from head to toe. Sucks to be an actor.
