2 - Birthday Surprise

"Happy birthday to you!" They sang

I let out a smile, closed my eyes, moving closer to the candles and blew the flames away.

"Woohoo!" My friends cheered

"Thanks for coming, guys! You didn't have to come!" I said telling my friends

"It's your special day! Why wouldn't we come over?!" Seojin asked

"It's also your birthday/newly employed celebration!!!" Seojin added as she raises her glass

"It's time to open your giftssss!" Yeseo yells

Everyone gives me their bought gifts with a big smile knowing their face as if they were planning something.

I grab Seojin's gift and slowly opening it realizing what I got...

"Couple clothes set...really, Seojin?" I asked

"Yah! Seojin-ah! She doesn't have a boyfriend nor does she need one!" Yeseo said proudly defending me

"What? You're old enough to get yourself a guy in your life! It's time to look for one! I also think that I should not only give you just a keychain." She said

"She has a point. Why don't you look for one?" Yeseo asks

"Like what you said earlier..I don't need one. I'm done with men." I said

"You're into girls??" Seojin asks

"No! But I'm willing to open my mind for variation."

"Orrr... you're not over with Jungwon yet.." Seojin said as they both laughed

"It's been 2 years! I don't like him anymore. Besides, he wants us to stay as friends." I said

"Yeh! Yeh! Yeh! Enough with that, continue opening the gifts!" Yeseo said as she takes a sip of her drink

"Socks..from Mom and Dad.." I said and they both laugh

"This is the 10th time my parents gifted me socks..but still.. I'm grateful!" I said and they continue laughing

I grabbed another gift and opened it aggressively.

"A ring light! Thanks Yeseo!" I said

"It's for pictorial purposes! You gotta look good in every picture y'know!" She said and we all laughed

"Why didn't you gift me one for my birthday?" Seojin sulks as the other two laugh

"I think that's the last one..you guys bought so much for me! Thank you so muc-" I was interrupted by the doorbell ringing

I went up and opened the door,

"Are you Lee Yunji?" The delivery man asked with a large box beside him

"Yes..but I didn't order anything.." I said

"I don't know what's going on but this box was sent to you."

"From who?" I asked

"The person who sent wanted to remain anonymous.." He said

"How much for the delivery fee?" I asked

"The person already payed for everything, all you have to do is to sign here for confirmation of the delivered package.." He said showing his clipboard

I quickly wrote my signature not knowing what I signed for.

"Thank you! Have a good day!" He said and left

I look at this life-sized box infront of me wondering how I'd get it inside.
