"Let's give that slimeball a bath!" Kai shouted, leading the group effort to take out the supports. The boys flung their aeroblades whilst Onyx used her katanas to cleave through the rotting wood, weakening the docks. She felt horrible about doing it, but she also understood that it was a necessary evil. "We can do this!" Cole shouted as the docks began to creak and groan beneath the weight of the Preeminent.

When the wood began to break beneath Her, the ninja quickly airjitzued away, landing on a strip of dock a safe distance away. They watched antsily, waiting for the Preeminent to plunge into the harbour. But then, as they waited, Soul Archer suddenly gave a cry. "Protect the Preeminent!" He cried. At his shout, the ghosts began to tear houses from their very foundations, attaching them to the Preeminent and forming makeshift legs. Onyx stared in appalled horror as she began to stand, safely suspended above the water. "Just when you thought you've seen it all," Jay breathed.

Onyx's eyes widened as it began walking towards the ship with a bellowing, ethereal groan of pain. "It can make it," She whispered. "We have to destroy that thing before it reaches the ship!" Kai shouted, drawing his aeroblade. "Zane, body count!" Onyx called as they flew towards the city on legs. "Pixal has detected over five hundred Ghosts aboard this walking fortress, and the number is climbing," he answered as they reached her legs. "If we have to destroy this thing one ghost at a time, so be it," Cole said determinedly. "Aargh! Then I want a front-row ticket. Ninja, go!" Kai cried as the ninja clambered onto the legs and began slashing.

"Hey, guys. Need a hand?" Nya's voice called as a blast of water shot from nowhere, destroying three ghosts. Onyx took a moment from slashing at ghosts to laugh. "Thanks, Nya!" Cole called. The battle went on, the ninja facing ghostly chains, swords, and blasts. Finally, after fierce combat, they managed to make their way to what served as the Preeminent's knee. "Doctor, it appears our patient needs to have his knee put on ice!" Jay called. "I'm happy to help," Zane responded, freezing the knee. "And we take ghosts as payment!" Onyx added, slashing one with her katanas.

For a moment, the ninja thought they'd finally managed to immobilize the Preeminent. But just as a smile was creeping across Onyx's lips, the ice shattered, shaking the entire frame. Kai gave a cry as he fell towards the water. "Catch him!" Nya cried. Onyx would've reached for Kai had he not been below her position. Cole reached for him. "I've got-Huh? Nevermind!" He shouted as Kai's arm phased through his palm. Kai gasped sharply as he hit the water, clinging desperately onto a plank. "I can't swim!" He cried. "I can't get wet!" Kai shouted back.

Heads up!" Onyx shouted as Soul Archer swept towards Kai, who defensively ducked beneath the surface. "You have to come up for air at some time, Fire Ninja!" Soul Archer cackled, bowstring pulled taught. Zane responded quickly, dropping down a level and raising his hands. "Kai! Shoot fire now!" He shouted. The second Kai came up for air. Kai obliged, and Zane met his blast of flame with shards of ice, which melted and spattered Soul Archer with water. "Arrivederci!" Onyx cackled as he imploded. "Yeah! Fire and Ice make water, nice! And one more Ghost is toast," Jay said with a smirk.

"As iron sharpens iron..." Zane started. "Brother sharpens brother," Kai finished, taking Zane's helpful hand back onto dry (enough) wood. Onyx's eyes widened suddenly as more ghosts began to pour from the Preeminent's hole, outnumbering even the stars. "We've got a serious problem!" She shouted. "Aw, are you kidding me? Even our coolest moves aren't helping anything," Jay complained. Nya growled. "We obviously aren't doing any good here. We need to protect the ship," she said. Onyx nodded. "We haven't got a chance playing offense," she agreed, using airjitzu to tactically retreat to the ship, the others close behind.

"If we're gonna destroy the Preeminent, we're gonna have to do more," Wu said once they landed. "Speaking of more, we need more fuel. If we turn back now, we'll have just enough to get us to shore. Otherwise, if we reach Hollow's Trench, we'll be sitting ducks out there," Ronin said. "As we've established, ducks can fly," Onyx said absentmindedly, distracted by watching the Preeminent. Of course, she was ignored, though she didn't particularly care at the moment.
