The Hydro Dragon and A Human

Chapter 2

Neuvillette and Furina have already change into their pajamas. Furina has Neuvillette to sleep on her bed while she sleeps on the couch but Neuvillette stops her.

"Furina... Please sleep with me on the bed... It's cold on the couch and I don't want to get a cold... So please sleep on the bed and have me sleep beside you..." Neuvillette says in despair as he looks at Furina with sadness in his eyes, pleading her to sleep with him on the bed.

Furina sighs as she gives in for the puppy eyes that the Chief of Justice made it himself. "Alright. I will sleep with you tonight. How long are you going to stay here?"

"Until you finally leave." Neuvillette says without thinking twice as he looks ay Furina seriously.

Furina looks at him and just nods without saying anything. They both go to the bed and lay down on it.

"Hey, Neuvillette... Will you really miss me if I died one day...?" Furina asks quietly and Neuvillette just hugs her, not saying anything but Furina will take it as a yes since she and Neuvillette already known each other for 500 years.

"Don't worry... I will live for you and come back to you unharmed..." Furina turns to him and hugs back, falling asleep in his arms afterwards.

After that day, Neuvillette seems to be pushing his work and always goes to Furina's house to find her. They even go out to have dessert and tea together at the cafe.

But all the happy moments are very short. A few weeks later, Furina packed her things with her before going out of her house, seeing Neuvillette is standing outside of her house.

"Monsieur Neuvillette..." Furina says with her quiet voice before going to him.

"Let me ask you, Lady Furina. Are you sure you want to travel with the traveler?" Neuvillette asks Furina as he looks at her, filling with a bit of sadness in his eyes.

Furina looks at him for a moment before nodding as her answer. "Yes.. I'm sure of it, Monsieur... I don't know how to say this but I am in love with you, Neuvillette. Not as my ludex or hydro dragon but a crush. So Neuvillette, do you want to be my boyfriend?"

Neuvillette was speechless for a while before blushing a little and nods. "Yes, I do. When you come back, I will marry you."

Furina is surprised at his words and she smiles, nodding at the promise. "I promise you that I will come back safely. We will definitely get married once I come back to you."

A while later, Lumine (the traveler) and Paimon go to them. "Furina! Are you ready to go now?" Paimon asks while Lumine greets Neuvillette.

Furina nods before handing her stuff to Lumine, letting the traveler keep her stuff in her backpack. "Well then, shall we go?"

Lumine and Paimon nod before walking away. Furina waves goodbye at Neuvillette before she leaves with them.
