After Emily and Damien finally leave me and Delilah alone, it's time for the part i was most excited for. The Dancing. Specifically, the ball room dancing.
I looked at Delilah who was staring ahead, she seemed to be in deep thought. Well that makes a lot of sense considering she just met Emily and Damien after six whole years. And that too, them being together and Emily being pregnant.
I did not expect Damien to ever look so damn soft. I always knew he had some kind of feelings for Emily for, god knows, how many years. But that bastard always had a very big ego, which I'm sure still kept him for revealing his actual feelings to Emily.
Whatever is it, I hope they get the happiness they deserve.
"What happened?" I feel Delilah's gaze on me, and I look down at her, looking so damn pretty in her Indian clothes. My girl was glowing.
"You didn't tell me about Emily and Damien? How could you keep such big gossip away from me?" Her face contorted into a little frown, or maybe I was just imagining it. She just looks like a goddess today, I can't focus on her words at all.
"I didn't know either. They managed to keep such a big thing a secret, and I am very surprised too." I held her hand in mine as I spoke so softly, my eyes never leaving hers.
"The dance is about to start. You will dance with me, right?" My voice was tinged with nervousness but my heart felt mushy when she chuckled and nodded.
"Obviously, I will dance with you," She grinned at me and squeezed my hand as we both walked to the dance floor where a lot of couples were already standing, as the music started.
I held her hand as we walked to the dance floor, feeling the warmth of her skin against mine. As we approached the other couples, my heart began to race. The lights dimmed slightly, and a slow song began to play.
I twirled her around, pulling her close as we moved to the music. She looked up at me and smiled, and I knew that nothing else in the world mattered at that moment.
We danced closely, our eyes locked together. "I hope we look good out here," she whispered in my ear.
"You look perfect," I replied, my eyes seemed to be lost in hers as she danced with her hand on my shoulder and other on my chest.
