"Bhabhi, I have a plan," Laxman interjected.

Reema was busy stealing glimpses of her baby from a clear window,

"Bhabhi, I talked with Mother and I think she's right. It breaks our hearts to see the way Raj treats you. You should definitely sign those papers. I will find the best lawyer around."

"Laxman! Why do you care about me so much?" When she turned to face him, her face was drenched in sweat and tears.

"Do I have to explain?" Of course, he doesn't. Laxman and Reema became best friends as soon as Reema was married into their house. She was as caring as a big sister and Laxman felt grateful.

"You really remind me of Laxman from Ramayana. If only my husband could be an inch similar to Lord Ram, Alas!"

Reema wanted to sign these papers as badly as Reyraj, but for the last time, she wanted to ask something to Reyraj.

She was standing in the mansion she's called home for the past 7 years, for the very last time. She wanted to resolve this.

"From the day we tied the knot to this very day, have you ever loved me?"

The question pierced that woman's heart yet she stood there desperately to find any strings that could re-tie their knot. The knot of their marriage.

To which Reyraj only averted his gaze. Being more clear she asked,

"Was this only the marriage of convenience to you? Have you ever tried to be my hus-" The words were getting choked in her throat.

"I didn't." He spoke. Finally.

"I could never love you. I tried but I just couldn't." How he never confessed this in the past 7 years and only suffered and let Reema suffer with him in this loveless life that was drawn out of a business deal.

"Reema, you remember Asmi, my school friend. My first love. She's my sweetheart. Knowing my parents they'd never let me marry her and even after our marriage, I could never forget her. How can I?"

He speaks all this nonchalantly.

Reema came up with a decision to face all the consequences and was capable of resolving all the conflicts in his mind. A woman can forgive all the mistakes her man makes except when the mistake is the other woman.

In this story, she was the other woman.

The disgust she felt, the disappointment that rushed to her that her husband hid the fact about loving another woman for over 7 years. Being not man enough to speak up for his feelings and keep both of them stuck in this useless marriage. How coward of a man was he?

If it was any other reason, she'd have tried to resolve it or find a solution but this problem had only one remedy, that is to remove herself from his life. That's all she could do for his and their daughter's sake.

The wise decision she made by keeping a heavy weight on her heart. She signed those papers.

The last Reema and Reyraj met was in his second marriage with Asmi. Ironically, everyone was happy. Reema promised to never show her face to her in-laws and left for her native place, hoping to reboot her life if still possible.

The self-hate then started killing her, from hating her husband, then in-laws, then herself. She started damaging herself mentally. The detestation grew out of control.

Abundant of hate and rage contained in Reema. The more she looked at her daughters, the more hate it brought. The daughter she loved from the bottom of her heart, her motivation to continue this marriage had now become the most hateful thing in her life.

Her daughters, an outcome of their loveless marriage kept bringing more and more resentment.

As a result, she started punishing her daughters, despising them enough that she resented even seeing them. Poor kids.

What fault did they do to deserve such a cruel destiny then there stood their Uncle

Laxman insisted on adopting the girls. To free his brother as well as his sister-in-law. He wanted Reema to restart her life in a village just the way Reyraj did by marrying Asmi.

Their marriage was inevitable since Shivani was conceived 4 years ago. Reyraj hid the fact that he had a child out of an affair and Asmi bore a child out of wedlock which was eating her from inside. They had to marry sooner or...

Reyraj soon enough started to be recognized as the man who could not bear a boy. His genetics was too weak to have it. He ended up resenting himself for that.

Laxman approached him with a deal to adopt his daughters in exchange for 30% shares of their empire. It was only fair because he was asking the money to raise his daughter.

Desperate to reduce the number of daughters in the house. He said yes.
