The guys and girls had grown really close during that time.
"Maybe we can do something special for our last evening together," Min-ah suggested.
They were all at Yasmine's place, chilling in the living room.
"Let's go to the beach," Jimin said.
"What? Beach?" Taehyung asked.
"No, the beach," Namjoon responded.
The girls giggled.
"Okay, I like the idea. How about making sandwiches and having a picnic at the beach?" Tisha asked.
Everybody nodded.
Jungkook noticed Yasmine being zoned out.
"Hey, are you okay?" He stroked her hand in concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine," she softly spoke.
The others were already planning the groceries while she got up to walk upstairs. Jungkook ran behind her.
"Babe, tell me. I can see in your eyes that you are not fine."
Yasmine looked into his eyes. "I am going to miss you." Her eyes filled with tears.
He looked saddened. "And I will miss you too, but I promise we will see each other again and I will visit you a lot," he spoke while holding her tight.
"Okay lovebirds, time to go," Taehyung smiled, totally unaware of what was going on.
"Coming," Jungkook responded to him.
Jungkook loosened their hug to look her in the eyes. His eyes were sad, but he tried to smile. He lifted her chin so she would look him in the eyes.
"Hey, I don't like you... I love you." He softly kissed her lips.
She gave him a sad smile back before they went downstairs with the picnic blanket in her hands.
Almost 30 minutes later, they arrived at the beach.
They unpacked their stuff while chatting and laughing.
"Ooh, look, the sunset has started," Hoseok smiled.
He immediately sat next to Tisha, and the two of them became really close.
Yasmine softly smiled. She and Jungkook were sitting a few meters apart from the group.
She just didn't feel like sitting close with the others.
Jungkook took her in his arms and kissed her forehead while watching the sunset. Yasmine felt the sadness welling up inside her again.
She sighed.
"Jungkook..." She started.
"Hmm, yes?" He responded.
"Maybe we should end this," she softly spoke.
"But... Why?" He asked her, his eyes widened in shock.
He immediately let her go from his hug.
"Can't you see it? You're an idol, and I'm just me. While you'll be busy with your music, your fans, and your dreams, I'll be here watching the stars and swallowing tears alone in the purple sea of ARMY and you wouldn't even be able to save me because your life would be at risk. I... I just don't want to be like that, Kookie. I'm sorry, but I don't think we are meant to be," she said with a cracked voice.
Jungkook's eyes became red and tearful.
"Why don't you trust me? I've told you a lot that we are going to be fine. Yes, I'll be busy from time to time, but I can quit and stay with you. I might be an idol, but in the end, I'm just a boy who is in love."
"Jungkook, I don't want that. I want you to chase your dreams... I'm sorry," her eyes became puffy.
Jungkook looked the other way to hide his tears.
He swallowed.
"You don't even know about my dreams."
He got up and ran away from her.
Namjoon saw him crying and ran after him.
The girls saw Yasmine crying and ran to her.
"It... it's over..." She whispered.
*author note*
AAh, I hated the fact that I could see Jungkook like that in my mind.
I made it short because my heart wasn't able to have more sad Kookie in front of my eyes.
I really like this man and I wish him all the happyness and lovve of the world.
