When Hao finally got home, it was already 6:48. He quickly put his stuff away and went to warm up leftovers for dinner. While he was waiting for his food to finish, his phone started ringing. Hao saw it was his mother and picked it up.
" Hi mother."
" Hey Hao, I'm calling to let you know uh...that I'll be home like very late. Around one ish." His mother said.
" Why?" Hao asked, never had his mom come home this late.
" Can't tell you, sorry baby. Don't wait for me, sleep before 12 please. I love you, see you tomorrow." His mother said before hanging up, not waiting for a reply.
Hao sighed and texted someone.

Froggie started a call...
" Hiiiii Froggieeee! How are youuuuu?" Was the first thing Soonyoung said, Hao replied with an" I'm fine." But Soonyoung could tell something was wrong. Hao's voice sounded sad, and wasn't cheerful like their other calls.
" What's wrong? And don't lie to me." Soonyoung questioned, the Hao he knew was rarely upset. So Soonyoung had to get the truth out of him, one way or another.
Hao was silent for a few moments not knowing where to start, and Soonyoung was a patient man...only for Hao and Chan. Hao was grateful for the silence because he really needed to clear his head.
" I'm so lonely here." Hao started, " You and Chan aren't here, my dad left for Europe, and now...my mom won't be home until like one. I'm just so alone. I don't know what to do. Help me Soonyoung." Hao finished with teary eyes. Don't cry. Please Hao not now. Not when Soonyoung is here.
" Noooo Froggie don't cry. I'm here, and Channie will be here soon. We're right here." Soonyoung said trying his best to comfort Hao. Soonyoung hated seeing his friends cry, especially his best friends. " Please Hao, don't cry."
But hearing someone asking you not to cry is just impossible, for Hao at least. So, Hao's dam broke, and all his tears came rushing down.
" It's not fair! Why us? Why why why?" Hao cried out, sobbing out everything that had consumed his thoughts when he was told he was leaving. " It's just not fair...why..."
Soonyoung, who was watching, was also holding his tears back. He tried his best to comfort but it was to no avail. Hao was lost in his tears and Soonyoung was on the brink of crying. " Life isn't fair, nothing is fair in this world."Soonyoung whispered out, " I'm sorry Hao, but there's nothing we can do at the moment. Maybe in the future it will get better. For now though, this is the only thing that works. Hao just trust everything will get better. If it doesn't, then me and Channie will."
Hearing the last sentence made Hao laugh, how would two boys make the world better? Soonyoung was being unreasonable, but he didn't care, he loved the way Soonyoung talked nonsense.
" There, mission accomplished, now tell me about your first day at school." Soonyoung smiled, " Tell me all the tea." Hao laughed even more and smiled, " Yeah yeah, okay sure."
" The school is nice, it's very big, like humongous. There's this math teacher named Mrs. Cha and she's so fuckin fun..." Hao explained about his first encounter with Jun, then the drama that happened after math, then meeting all of Jun's crazy friends. Also telling Soonyoung about his little breakout when he was with Jeonghan and Seungkwan. And Soonyoung just listened to everything he said, smiling and happy seeing his friend talk about his new life. But when Hao started talking about what happened in the dance room, it was when Soonyoung shouted out, " HE DANCES TOO? ADD HIM TO THE GC NAME THE GC THE 4D'S." Hao laughed and told him he doesn't have Jun's number, and Soonyoung pouted, going back to his original place. "Continue..." he gestured with his hands. So Hao talked about everything that happened in the dance room, all the way leading to the last moment. And now, Hao was a blushing mess. He was stumbling on his words, and Soonyoung watched with interest.
" Tell meeee what happened." Soonyoung begged, really wanted to know what happened.
" He uh. Pecked me on the forehead." Hao quietly said.
" HE KISS YOU?" Soonyoung shouted.
" WHO KISSES WHO?" Someone suddenly interrupted the two besties. Soonyoung turned his head and saw Chan. " Oh my god, you're finally here."
" Sorry, had other stuff to do. Anyways, who kissed who?" Chan questioned, eyebrows raised. " Someone dude kissed Hao."
" WHAT?"
" KWON SOONYOUNG, SHUT YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH. WE DID NOT KISS. HE PECKED MY FOREHEAD. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT KISSING?" Hao shouted through the phone, looking very furious.
" OH MY GOD. HAOOOOOOOOOOO." Chan cried out and quickly joined Soonyoung in the bed. He waved very excitedly at Hao.
" Channieeeeeee. Can you do me a favor and kill Soonyoung for me?" Hao kindly asked.
" Okay! Anything for you."
" WHAT?! COME ON CHANNIE." Hao saw Soonyoung scream and ran away with Chan chasing him with a pillow. " COME BACK HERE! HAO WANTED ME TO KILL YOU! SO I WILL!" Hao heard Chan say as he chased the poor Soonyoung. Hao laughed his ass off as he watched his two best friends having a pillow fight because of him. And so far, Chan was winning somehow.
"HAO PLEASE STOP THIS MONSTER! HE'S GONNA KILL MEEEEEE. AHHHHHHH" Soonyoung screamed out as Chan hit him as hard as he could.
Soonyoung was then on ground fighting for his life, and Hao was just laughing so hard. " Okay okay Chan, you can stop now." Hao laughed out, and instantly Chan stopped. " This bitch." Soonyoung mumbled under his breath. Both Chan and Hao didn't hear it, which is a good thing. Because if they did...then Soonyoung wouldn't be able to see the next dawn.
" You're such a sucker for Froggie Channie." Soonyoung whined, " It's not fair." Both Chan and Hao laughed at this statement. " Wish you were here, missed so much Hao." Chan suddenly spoke out, sounding sad." Missed you so much."
" I missed you too Channie." Hao replied with the same sad voice as Chan.
" Stop being sad." Soonyoung exclaimed, " Let's be happy for now, we can cry later."And the three of them laughed out, enjoying each other's company.
The three best friends talked for so long it was actually insane how much they have talked. When Hao's mother came back from her shift, she went to check on her son, and the scene displayed in front of her was so adorable.
Her son had fallen asleep on the phone with his friends. The lights were turned off but not one lamp. Hao was lying on his side, back facing towards the door, and the phone was beside his head. The bed cover was half way up his body, and Hao's mother knew how easily her son gets cold. So she quietly walked towards his bed and gently tucked him in, and finished with a kiss on the forehead. " Goodnight honey, sweet dreams." And then she turned off the lamp and walked away, closing the door as quietly as she could.
