Lexy's POV
It was dark now as Liv sat on my bed, reading a book. I, however, was trying to make sure we were safe from Chucky.

"There's no lock?" I say with a puzzled face as I look at the door handle with no lock on it.

"They only lock from the outside, school policy," Nadine says as I sigh and open a drawer, rummaging through it. "What are you doing?" She says as I pick up whatever the hell I picked up and furrowed my brows. "What the hell is all this shit?" I ask as I put it back down.

"I, uh..steal things sometimes. That's why I'm here," Nadine says as I walk in front of her, between our beds. I could feel Liv perk up and look at us. "Everyone has their secrets, right?" Liv said as I sat down and she moved next to me, casually laying her head down on my shoulder.

"What's your secret?" Nadine asked with a sweet smile. I shrugged.

"I feel like I don't have any," Liv spoke up as she looked down and her fingers fidgeted with mine. From my angle of gaze, she looked so innocent and adorable. Like she wasn't fully comfortable and used the fidgeting as a small distraction to not look anywhere else but at the distraction.

"You just said everyone has their secrets," Liv chewed on her bottom lip and nodded. "I did, excluding myself," I smiled to myself when she said that, getting up and walking towards the dresser to attempt to push it. I obviously failed on my own.

"Come help me push this," I said and Nadine got up. "What for?" She asked with her brows furrowed in question. "She sleepwalks," Liv chimed in before I could open my mouth again. With that, Nadine helped me push the dresser in front of the door as she talked about whatever and I responded before sitting on my bed.

"You good?" Liv asked as she glanced at me from her spot on my bed. I nodded, "Yeah, I'm good."

"You're—" Liv was interrupted by Nadine. That I was thankful for because I didn't wanna explain to Liv why I was not okay. "So, you guys are dating now?" We both looked at her and Liv responded for us. "Yup. Girlfriend and girlfriend again," She said with her adorable smile, looking up at me with her perfect doe eyes and grabbing my hand. I couldn't help but slightly blush at this. "Aw, I'm happy for you guys. You're cute together," Nadine smiled, and so did I. "Thanks," I said.

"Welp, good night then," Nadine said as she flipped off her lamp and got in her bed. I sighed then looked back to Liv.

"Are you going to sleep?" I asked and she shook her head. "I wanna read some more," I nodded and we got in my bed together, her head laying on my chest and my arm wrapping around her waist as she picked back up her book and started reading it.

It was midnight now. Liv was asleep and I picked up her book, putting it on my nightstand closed. I laid back down with a sigh, not wanting to move again because she was in my arms and I could wake her up.

I stared at her—at her beauty. I wondered if we would've even ended up together if it wasn't for a murderous doll. Probably not.

Liv says the opposite. She said, "Soulmates have a way of finding each other."

I don't know if I believe that.

I felt Liv move slightly, her head leaning up then her eyes slowly blinking open. "What are you doing up?" She asked as I looked down at her, my thumb grazing her cheek as I pushed hair out of her face. "I can't sleep," I whispered back.

She yawned and sat up, untangling from my arms. "Why? What's wrong?" I shrugged. She was now sitting in front of me. "My mind doesn't stop thinking for one second," She frowns and grips the side of my thigh; in a comforting manner but, of course, I felt that tingly feeling a little too low. "Talk to me then," She says with pleading eyes.
