Chapter 6: Izzy

They move to the living room.

"What we watching?" asks Luke excitedly as he jumps over the sofa.

"Careful with the hot cocoa, you jerk"

"Yeah, yeah," Luke says unbothered.

Kyle settles next to Luke on the sofa. Snow walks next to Kyle, purrs around his legs, and then pounces on Luke. "Guess he likes you more"

Luke looks at Kyle. "Well, you know very well that I'm good with these fluffy creatures. You should just donate him to me."

"Pfft, yeah, right"

Luke laughs and continues to pet Snow. As Luke and Kyle take sips of the hot chocolate, Kyle decides to ask, "So, why were you out at night? Didn't you know it was raining?"

"No, I was going over to Izzy's. She was alone and she needed me there to help her with something. You know she lives next to your street but it started to rain and my car broke down.

When I reached for my phone to call her to inform her that I'd be late, I learned that it was dead. Your house was the closest so I came here."

He's always with some girl. Last time, it was Jess, Kyle thinks. He doesn't stop to think how much I've done for him.

Kyle looks down at his phone due to envy as Luke mentions Isabelle.

"Which also reminds me, I have to charge the phone so I can talk to her," Luke continues. Kyle points to the charging spot next to the table kept near the sofa without looking away from his phone. Kyle resumes the movie he had been watching before Luke came in.
