THE DAY I WOKE UP

MR.RICARDO

" so Mr---i mean Ricardo i want that job"

Ricardo choked on the burger he was eating and was like

"WHAT?"

"Ricardo this job is very important to me and i am not just asking for it as a no one i have qualifications and achievements that can prove that i am a worthy candidate"

"but Mrs. Miller-"

"please call me Georgina"

"oh yes well Georgina i told you its within the company staffs, its the rules,  i cant do anything about this and it wont be fair for the other candidates"

" i totally get it but can you please make an exception?"

"but Geor--"

"you don't have to let me join just like that you conduct the interview for me like everyone else, right here. You can question me on any matter you want and then compare it to your other candidates and if I do excel it, then you can hire me for that position if not you can go on and select someone else. Afterall what you really want is someone who is talented and efficient but please please please don't say no before even hearing me out"

she finally finished her long speech. Ricardo seemed to be deep in thought and Gina looked at him with those puppy eyes full of hope and waited with bated breath.

when he was done thinking he nodded slowly and looked at the both of and said "i think i can make an exception if you are good enough.  i  promise if you are better than all the other candidates then you can get the position but if not don't blame me and i have to warn you that particular department is a bit rude and mean it would be very hard to tame those employees and i hope you can bare the consequences"

"YES!!!" she almost jumped out of her chair in joy again she looked at me smiling from ear to ear and hugged me tightly i hugged her back.

"she is a bit of enthusiastic and energetic person man!!" i explained to Ricardo.

"Yes dude i remember from college when you were head over heels for her"

and Gina was like " did we know each other Ricardo?"

"no not really i was always the right hand man for Julian in pursuing you. i helped with the romantic date ideas and he just implemented them i am like the back stage worker. we didn't talk that much then" 

Gina bombastic side eyed me and said "thought it was his own ideas i was fooled Ricardo i am gonna file a lawsuit"

i knew she was kidding but i played along too "OH MY!! i am really really sorry honey i loved you so much that i wanted the best for you and my brain couldn't come up with any good ideas so i had to borrow Ricardo's"

after that we started laughing at my dramatic line and Gina said  "oh dear sorry i misunderstood you! umwah!!" she blew me a kiss.

and then Ricardo was like "stop it guys have your hubby wifey thing somewhere else its not fair for singles like me"

and then we were laughing again like we were college students again. That's when Gina went like

"so what about the interview then?"

i was so angry that she only thought about the job i wanted her to relax.

"Gina why cant you guys have your interview tomorrow. us old friends have met after soo many years why can i just vibe with him? don't just think about work always relax for now i know you will do good"

"okay okay don't get angry Ju i wont talk about work but cant i just ask where we should meet up for the interview cause i am not officially interviewing so i cant go to the company for it right?"
