Chapter 5: May 20th 1955

May 20th 1955, early in the morning
Lucas called Judy's rotary phone and told her to come into the basement, so he could give her an eye exam, which he noticed Louis was carrying her, "I was teleporting her because Rapheal was hunting her like a wild dog, saying how he's gonna kill her for getting Andrew killed, but then he said that he'll be able to marry her because of what Andrew said," Louis scoffed, as he sat Judy down, Judy took the eye exam, which Lucas gave her the bad news; she has a 50% chance of getting tunnel vision by the time she's 30 or 40. "What's tunnel vision?" She asked, confused as he put a pair of white glasses on her, allowing her to finally see his face clearly, "It's like you are trying to look through a straw" He said, sighing, "Which means you'll need the help of Alex" Louis said as she cried, she got so overwhelmed. Louis comforted her by giving her a hug, she sobbed into his shoulder, telling him how scared she was of losing her vision and how she'll have to rely off of ALex, who has a bad leg condition. "Its okay, it's okay, we'll get it fixed," He hushed, kissing her on the forehead, holding her hand.

Judy saw the tall burnt creature puke up a writhing black mass of magggots into Alex's mouth, pinning him to the floor so he wouldn't squirm, it quickly looked up at her as she dropped Alex's coffee and croissants to the floor running off screaming, she heard the creature shriek as it ran after her, she also heard Alex pleading with the creature to not kill her. The creature tackled her to the floor snarling. "Why shouldn't I? She saw me" The demon growled, he, from the tone of voice, had a deep french accent. "P-please don't kill me!" She sobbed squriming the burnt creatures grip, as it leaned closer looking at her, "Hmm, pretty brown hair and hazel eyes" She heard him mutter, the creature looked at Alex who had came over, the burnt creature twirled a piece of her brown hair in its finger, seeing he burned off the hair strand with fire that emitted from the crack of the burnt skin. "You are the chosen one" The burnt creature growled, eating the strand of hair he burnt off, she screamed again, squirming, she saw Alex manage to shove the creature away from her, the creature fell, losing its footing, then he got up and slammed Alex into the wall. "Alex. Let me deal with her, she's the chosen one" The demon growled "No she isn't! You haven't cursed her yet and you haven't branded her!" Alex snapped, seeing Judy run off crying in fear, "Thanks for reminding me of what I did to you, and you just gave me an idea!" The demon said, smiling at Alex and giggled. The demon dropped him, "Wait!" Alex scoffed, "What!" The demon growled looking down at him, "She-" Before Alex could finish what he was saying, the demon said "I already know everything about her because of Louis" The demon said looking down at Alex, seeing his shocked face, then the demon teleported off. Alex limped back to his bedroom and fell back asleep.
Later that morning, Judy came into Alex's room with a cart "Good morning Mr. Fournier, breakfast is ready!" She said, seeing Alex was laying on his back, sprawled out and snoring. She set his breakfast food on his nightstand, which was 2 chocolate and strawberry jam croissants with a glass of goats milk, a teacup filled with chamomile tea, and black coffee with 1 tablespoon of creamer. Even though she found it odd for all those drinks, she didn't question, she just wanted to make him happy. She heard him wheeze and slowly wake up, he mumbled something then asked "What time is it?", "It is 8 in the morning Mr. Fournier" She replied, smiling, seeing he nod, and stretched, then she saw that same burnt demon, he smiled at her, and pulled out a maggot from a crack in his skin on the hand, and made Alex eat it, "Do you want one?" He asked, as he noticed how scared Judy was of him, "Judy, try not to be frightened of his appearance, he's actually super nice once you get to know him, maybe try being nice to him and doing little errands for him so you two could get to know each other better?" Alex tried to reason, suggesting an idea, "I'll try... but its just Juliette told me you'll use me like a slave" Judy stuttered, as the demon's eye twitch "She said what?" The demon asked "Yeah, she said that" Judy said, as she saw heard the demon growl "Well, looks like she's needs to be taught a lesson"
