Issei was being analysed by Azazel, who was scanning his brain. There were several life support machines to his brain and body, as everyone was outside watching over him, they could see Azazel monitoring his vitals and making sure he was alive, they were analysing the fact that whether he was alive or not.

Gabriel and some others did not even take their vision off the monitors as they saw Issei fighting for his life, she had tears in her eyes, as Haruka kept her hand on her and asked, "Mind I ask you something?" 

Gabriel looked at her and nodded, as Haruka spoke, "What did my Nephew mean to you? I know you love and cherish him, but from what I know, you were unaware of the actions that your former leader had performed. I doubt Issei may ever love you due to him having some amount of grudge towards you for what Michael and several angels did to his family.."

Mari wanted to stop since now was not the right time to question this, as Gabriel knew what may happen next, she knew that Issei may never love her, however despite this, she knew that Issei loves her, she believes that he still has some love for her. She then honestly answered, "Over my time for a millenia, I never fell in love with anyone. While I did love the good souls that came to Heaven, it was more or less a mother's love towards their children, it was never the love you would expect between two soul mates. But when I saw Issei, it was different, he was the only one that made my heart flutter, made my heart race, I can't exactly describe this feeling but it made me happy to be close to him. I never expected that anyone would make me feel this way, but your nephew did, Miss Haruka. I have faith that he still loves me, even now, and if he doesn't, I am willing to let go of him, if that makes him happy..." 

Everyone stayed silent for a moment, before Haruka spoke with a smile while placing her hand on his shoulder, "My Nephew made the right choice choosing you as his lover, take care of him, I am counting on you...." 

Gabriel nodded, as from the audience, Jeanne, Kuroka, Koneko and Raynare felt a pang in their hearts, it hurt them, but they didn't understand properly on why this happened. They knew Issei was happy with her, and they should also be happy, but why it hurts them.

Azazel soon came outside, as Sirzechs asked, "How is he?"

"So..." Azazel remained silent, he decided to speak for a while, "Do you want the Good news or the Bad News?"

The group looked at each other, as Haruka spoke, "The Good News, first..."

"Okay, I can say that Issei is out of danger and he won't die.." The group sighed in relief, as some cried in happiness, they all knew that Issei will not be dying and they were all relieved, as Azazel gave a sigh, and spoke

"Alright everyone, the bad news.." Everyone stopped their actions, as Siegfried spoke, "What bad news?"

"He is in comatose state, the memory seal has gone haywire and this is something I feared, he is in a coma, and the chances of him waking up naturally, are very very low..." The dread started to appear in their faces as Gabriel looked at the door, seeing him fighting for his life, she felt even more guilt, she looked down in sadness, with Siegfried speaking.
