Author's POV
The sun was nowhere to be seen. Since the clouds had already decided to hide it under their covers. A man in his early twenties was riding a horse through the dense forest. His hair flying along with the wind every next second. His body was covered with blood. The clippity-clop trotting of another horse could be heard in a distance. He turned around and his brown eyes darkened to the sight. On another horse, was a King in his late forties carrying a girl's saree and trying to smell it lustfully. The muscles on his face tightened to the sight of the lustful King. He threw an arrow in his direction making him fall down from the horse.
The King took out his sword inviting the man for a sword fight. But the man swirled his sword on a swift motion making the other sword fly in the air. Then he gripped the King by his arm and kicked in his balls pushing him down to the ground. He kept his sword on his neck with a warning look.
" I could have spared your life if you hadn't played with a girl's dignity a minute earlier. Not just your Kingdom, your life is also under my control, you fool. You are at my mercy.", he pushed the sword in his flesh.
" Ahhh.... Samrat, I beg your pardon. Please spare my life. I'll do as you say. Samrat Atharvadhiraj is known to be the best ruler of Aryavarta. Please forgive this small King.", he kept begging in front of Samrat.
" I forgive you", and he pushed the sword deep in his body. The King shouted for a few seconds and then lay there lifeless.
Samrat flipped his hair pushing his sword back in its sheath. He pushed back his here and the blood drooled from his face. His face, oh so divine. The perfect face cut, chiseled jaws, his nose was very high with the line extending well to the tip of his nose. His almond shaped eyes fit perfectly with his facial features. A dark aura surrounded him while he placed himself back on his horse riding back to the bushes.
Samrat's POV
I finally killed that bastard. Earlier, I had planned to win his kingdom and let him rule under my reign. But the moment he pulled the saree in front of my eyes, I could only imagine his death. I had been riding mt horse since the past half hour to return back to the war region with the dead body of the King. The soldiers shivered upon seeing his state and gave in to my control. I ordered my Senapati to carry the refugees back to the palace with us and the war soldiers must be treated well in our Palace. He made quick arrangements and we returned back to our Kingdom, Our Aryavarta, the next day.
The Swarna Mahal could be seen even from hundred kilometres of distance due to the glow of pure gold it has been made of. My Nanashri conquered a lot of subcontinent and build this Swarna Mahal. The old Mahal was redesigned by him since he wanted to show his prosperity to the world. As soon as I returned in the Kingdom, I could hear people cheering up for my victory. Before stepping into the Mahal, I was stopped by my maasa, who did my aarti before letting me enter the Mahal. I quickly touched her feets seeking her blessings.
Then I turned around to see my Nanashri waiting to welcome me who pulled me in a tight hug. No matter how old he gets, his body always radiates strength and power. No wonder he has been the best Samrat of our Aryavarta. And now he is my role model. I want to expand Aryavarta just like he did. I started walking in the palace, when I heard another voice,
" Bhaisa, rukiye. Samrat Atharvadhiraj ko mera pranam. Hume puri umeed thi aap jeet haasil karke hi wapis aaenge. ", my brother Vikramadhiraj came running in my direction to pull me in a tight hug. He is my saviour.
( Stop, brother. My greetings to Samrat Atharvadhiraj. I knew you would return back after your victory.)
" Pranam Yuvraj Vikram. Humari jeet toh nishchit thi. Humari haar asambhav hai.", I greeted him back with a warm smile.
( Greetings, Yuvraj Vikram. My victory was decided. My failure is impossible.)
" Ek kshetra hai jisme aap haar chuke hai bhaisa.", I could smell mischief in his tone.
( But you already lost in one field, brother.)
" Aur wo kya hai?", I raised my brows in confusion.
( And what's that?)
" Hamare liye ek khoobsurat aur pyaari bhabhisa laane me.", he smirked in my direction.
( Getting us a beautiful and a sweet sister-in-law)
" Hume vivaah karne me koi ruchi nahi hai. Hum ese hi bas ek kushal Samrat banna chahte hai.", I answered him back along with my death glare that shit him up.
( I'm not interested in getting married. I want to become a great Samrat.)
" Baat toh Yuvraj bilkul sahi keh rahe hai Atharva. Aapko jaldi hi Aryavarta ki kulvadhu byaah kar lani hogi. Rani ke bina insaan kabhi kushal Samrat nahi ban sakta. Aap samajh rahe hai na?", Nanashri looked in my direction with the stern look on his face.
( Yuvraj is right, Atharva. You should find a bride for our Aryavarta really soon. You can never be a great Samrat without a queen. Are you getting my point?)
" Ji Nanashri. Hum samajh rahe hai.", and I finally escorted myself from this marriage conversation to my room. I'm sick of letting them know, that I have no interest in being married.
( Yes grandpa. I'm getting your point.)
I laid down on my bed pondering about the next kimgdoms I need to conquer. I have so much work, so much responsibilities to fulfill yet. How could I marry someone? That too for getting a queen for my kingdom. That would be unfair for her. Being married would make her a queen, but before that it would make her my wife. And I need to be a little less burdened in life to fulfill mt duties as a husband, which is practically impossible since I'm supposed to rule the whole Aryavarta now. And today was the day of commoners court. How could I forget?
I quickly took a rose scented bath and changed into my royal outfit to reach the commoners court on time. I had to listen to our people, to understand their problem, to hear their viewpoints, to provide them with solutions, to let them feel that they have someone to share their problem with. I walked inside the commoners court when the royal guards announced my presence and I quickly took a seat on my throne. To my right side, was the thrown for Maharaja. And the ministers were all placed on the either sides. A gallery was spread for allowing the common people of our kingdom to walk upto us and numerous seats were designed for allowing them to have a seat waiting for others to speak. The above floor was all covered with curtains where the royal ladies would usually sit as and when they please.
