We open and see Alex sitting in his room. He was sitting on his bed his hands clasped in front of his face.
Alex: I know she's gonna be alright. I knew this would happen. But... why... why does it hurt so much.
He asked himself as he stood up and went to the bathroom that was attached to his room. Upon entering he took off his clothes and held the sink looking at himself.
Alex: Even in this new body I still see my old one. The same loser who couldn't do anything in the real world...
He said seeing the him that he knew for the majority of his life.
Mirror Alex: Look at you. You're so powerful yet you couldn't save your best friend. And your best friend from the real world is now your enemy!
The mirror told him. Alex knew this was all in his head, and that it was just his subconscious talking... but he was right.
Mirror Alex: You're still just a nobody! You haven't made an impact and you've been here for how long? Half a year?
Alex: It takes time to become someone asshole!
The male retorted but his mirror self just laughed.
Mirror Alex: Yeah maybe you're right. But someone with the power you have. Should be top dog. But you're not. I bet if you and Yuri fought now, while she's still not trained she'd still kick your ass!
Having enough of this he walked off to the shower and turned it on.
Mirror Alex: You can't walk away from your subconscious Alex! I'll always be in the back of your head!
The mirror steamed up and the voice went away. After taking the shower Alex heard a knock on his door.
Alex: One sec!
He told the person on the other side of the door, as he dried off and got dressed in his uniform. He opened the door and saw Meguma and Nobara.
Meguma: Hey, how you holding up?
Alex: I'll live.
He said and walked out with them. Eventually they got to a spot where they decided to hang out. [Alex is between the two]
