Alex was a bit away from Yuri and Nanami he was on the phone with his girlfriend, as he walked towards them. He was still far enough away to finish his conversation that he just started.
Alex: Hey Megu, I know I said we'd go out on our first date tomorrow night. But, I got a mission last second.
He told her as he got closer to the two.
Meguma: Its alright, just be careful and stay safe.... I don't want to lose you so soon after getting with you.
Alex: Don't worry, I'm a special grade and Nanami is a grade 1. We'll be able to do this no problem. Besides, it's a simple hunt from what I heard...
He paused and heard a grunt from Meguma.
Alex: But, if it'll make you feel better, I swear on my will to stay safe from Gojo's advances. I'll be as careful as possible.
He told her and he got closer almost to the point where they'd hear him.
Meguma: Thank you. Now I'm gonna let you go now. Have fun on the mission and come back alive... I love you.
Alex: Love you too, also tell Maki and the others I'll be gone for a bit this mission could go long so I might not be at training for a while.
She hummed in response and he got off the phone as he got to the two. He saw them watching the crime scene, it was a movie theater. They haven't noticed him yet so he said something to get their attention.
Alex: A movie theater what did the curse want to watch the Dark Knight?
He quipped as they looked at him.
Alex: Eh you two aren't from America you wouldn't understand it.
Nanami: Now's not the time For Jokes Harajuku.
Nanami told him as he rolled his eyes.

He told her and he looked to Yuri who was smiling at him. He blushed a bit but quickly shook it off. As he remembered what Meguma told him earlier.
Meguma: You may not want to be with me after this... but I'm still gonna tell you. You deserve to know... when she died... she told me to tell you that she loved you.
Her voice told him in the back of his head. He shook his head and smiled back at her.
