Something about their relationship changes after that day. Minjeong can't exactly place what it is, but they're more comfortable around each other—both physically and emotionally. They flirt more too, but it's far more playful and less forced than before. In fact, any obligation she may have felt about flirting is gone, replaced instead with a sense of enjoyment and anticipation.About a month and a half after the first visit, Jimin ends up at Minjeong's place again, giving tiredness for the reason she doesn't want to go clubbing with the other casts. Minjeong for her part, doesn't particularly care why Jimin's on her couch again; she's just happy to spend some more time with her.
And that's how they end up watching Tangled at eleven at night again. Or at any rate, how Minjeong ends up watching Tangled with Jimin again, and how Jimin ends up tucked under Minjeong's arm, playing with her phone.
"And...post." Minjeong hears Jimin mutter under her breath.
"And post?" Minjeong repeats, tearing her eyes away from the movie to look down at the older girl cuddled up to her.
Jimin looks up at her innocently and shows Minjeong the phone in her hands. She got her Instagram up and at the top of her feed, is a picture of her smiling brightly for the camera, her face snuggled in to Minjeong's arm, with the bottom half of Minjeong's profile in the background. The caption reads;
' You held me so tight I couldn't breathe, but there wouldn't be a better way to die :P '
"That's cute." Minjeong says, a warm feeling rushing to her chest at the small smile that Jimin gives her.
"Twenty-three thousand and fifty-two people would agree with you." Jimin responds.
Minjeong giggles, squeezing Jimin a little tighter with the arm she has wrapped around the other girl. "I guess that means I must be right."
"I think you might be." Jimin agrees.
"It's twenty-five thousand and sixty-three now, so I'd say the odds are in my favor."
Jimin giggles, snuggling back into Minjeong's embrace. "I'm lucky I found you."
"Hm?" Minjeong asks, raising her free hand to play with Jimin's hair. "How so?"
"Just this whole fake relationship thing," Jimin says, a sigh working its way out of her mouth when Minjeong's fingers delve a little deeper into her hair to scratch her scalp. "I could have gotten anyone to play along, but instead I found someone I genuinely like spending time with."
Minjeong stops her ministrations to wrap her other arm around Jimin, giving her a somewhat awkward hug while she nuzzles her face into Jimin's hair. "I like spending time with you, too."
"I wasn't expecting to make any friends here," Jimin admits, twisting in Minjeong's arms to face her. "But I'm really glad I got to meet you."
"Me, too." Minjeong replies, trying not to feel so horribly self-conscious about how close Jimin's face is, but her lips keep tingling lightly and she can hardly keep her eyes from drifting down to Jimin's lips. "I'm gonna miss you when you go back to LA."
"I'll miss you too." Jimin says with a gentle smile, pressing a peck to Minjeong's cheek before settling back into her embrace like earlier. "So I guess it's a good thing we have a couple more months before that happens, right?"
Minjeong just bites her lips to stave off a frown. "Yeah, I guess it is."
