"yes suzuhara, what is it" i asked
"we found another universe in ruin, what happened, colonel katsuragi is demanding to know" sakura asked
"the natives believed they could face the nemesis series, i was convinced that they could hold their own, after sparing against my unit-01, i did not properly account for the overwhelming odds that gendo ikari would bring to bear, we have since left that universe" i said
"one moment" sakura said "colonel katsuragi is demanding for a rendezvous" sakura said
"i am sending you coordinates" i said, doing just that
"we will see you soon, shinji" sakura said as the channel was cut, i went to asuka after that

"are we still just doing whatever she wants, we have successfully managed to force gendo's hand and she is still making these demands" asuka said annoyed
"indeed" i said leaving her to prepare the others for katsuragi's arrival
when the two ships docked, katsuragi's guards swarmed the heracles, they found shinji on the command deck looking out into space

"you have made no progress with how gendo keeps finding you" misato asked

"have you found a solution to this problem, lieutenant" misato asked

"i am not, let me rephrase my previous answer, i have not found an acceptable solution, i refuse to kill my father, only to have my superiors decide i am then the threat and need to be eliminated, colonel" i said

"hey puppy" mari said wrapping her arms around him from behind

"very well, i shall have unit-01 transferred to the wunder, immediately" i said

"no it is a promise, i refuse to be alone anymore, if you want a pilot ask soryu or makinami to do it, i refuse, now take your evangelion and get off my ship" i said, she frowned

"automated defenses active, targeting WILLE personnel" the ship's AI said
"get. off. my. ship" i said
"shinji your making a mistake" misato said
"what mistake is that, katsuragi" i asked, she opened her mouth, but realized she had no response, as to shinji this was his only option, she closed her mouth turned on her heel and left the bridge, mari gave him a sad look before following misato
"inform me when the EVA and the wunder are gone lorenze" i said
"understood" lorenze replied, i sighed
"what a mess" i said, a small growl was heard as a nekomata jumped onto the holotable, and i pet the creature
"regaining my memories, was perhaps the worst thing to happen to me, but at least i still have you, my friend" i said to kirara the nekomata
