A petite girl sat at a desk, lightly tapping her peach-colored pen against it. The last question on the survey for high school was taunting her, mocking her, causing her hands to shake ever so slightly.

What do you want to do with your future?
Such a question sounded so simple, yet it caused many people to panic.

Her problem wasn't that she didn't know what to do with her future, it was that she knew all too well. She was going to be the successor to the Kurosawa Gaming Company. It was the least she could do to keep her family name afloat. Most kids were going to run their parents' company once they were old enough, this wasn't anything different, but for some reason or another, all the responsibility that was being put on her was crushing her.

She was practically suffocating under all the pressure of trying to fit her grandfather's bill. It's not like she wasn't trying or she wasn't hardworking, she just was never good enough to please him, and in the long run she felt like she was disappointing her dad.

She just wasn't good enough.

Now she was sweating, her hands trembling even more due to all this unwanted pressure. She felt like she couldn't breathe. Gripping her pen tighter and then letting it fall loosely onto the desk, she tried to gain control of her unstable breathing again.

There was no point in delaying her answer. So, she finally gained the courage she so desperately needed to write down her Family Company's name.

That's when a groan of annoyance came from behind her. She knew she wasn't the only one with the problem of answering this stupid sheet of paper and all its nerve-racking questions. Looking behind, she saw her auburn haired classmate and his identical twin.

One of the twins was obviously having problems with one of the questions, and the other was waiting for them to finish. It didn't matter to her which twin was having trouble, she couldn't care less about the two assholes in her class, but that didn't shake the curiosity taking over her.

So, she sat oddly still, and tried to listen in on their conversation. "Uh, Kaoru... You still don't know what to write down for the last one?" the one thought to be Hikaru said. "Yeah, sorry Hikaru." the younger twin sent an apologetic smile towards his brother.

Standing up, the girl quickly put her pen back into her pencil case, grabbed her paper and walked off towards the guidance office.

"I know, for my future I just want to stay with you, Hikaru!" She heard Kaoru utter these last words before she closed the door to classroom 4-A.

"Idiots..." She sighed to herself before running off into the distance.

"Ah, I see you want to run your father's company when you grow older." The girls guidance counselor nodded in approval. "Why of course, I am the heir to the Kurosawa family, so it's only natural I take up the family business." Her fake smile didn't falter when it came to answering this. Reasons why she thanked her grandfather for forcing her to talk about the company to the employees.

"You do know you have other career options, right? You could always be an actress like your mother." The older male simply suggested.

In no way did she ever want to be like her mother, although it seemed like she was headed down that path anyway. Her mother was cold and distant, nowhere near as loving as her father was. It causes the girl to wonder just how her parents fell in love anyway, if it even was love that had gotten them married.

"I'm not nearly as good as my Mother was when it comes to acting." Lying right through her teeth just so she could stop talking about her parents. In one way or another, she probably would have been a great actress.

"Anyway, since you'll be running your father's gaming company, I'll set you up for programming classes next year." The counselor wrote something down in the flies he was holding. "Ah, I also see that besides taking English you'll be taking French as well. Very good choice!" He smiled. "I suppose so..." She sat impatiently in her seat.

All she wanted to do was go home. "How much longer is this going to take? I have to go to my therapy session in an hour." Her eyes glanced over at the clock before looking back at her counselor. "My apologies, you may leave now if you want. And be safe when going home, Ms. Kurosawa." The counselor leaned back into his chair while looking at some other paperwork. "Of course I will." The girl got up from her seat and bowed towards the adult.

"I hope you have fun when you come back for High School next year." He waved her off. "I bet I will!" She sincerely doubted it.
