Ghost was doing paperwork and he saw Elena. "Simon, when was the last time you slept?" Elena asked.
Ghost glanced up from his paperwork, weariness evident in his eyes as he looked at Elena.
Her concern for him was palpable, and he couldn't help but appreciate her genuine care and attentiveness.
"It's been a while," Ghost admitted with a faint smile. "There's always so much to do, so many things to take care of. But don't worry about me, I'll catch some rest later."
Elena raised an eyebrow, unconvinced by Ghost's reassurances. She knew him well enough to see through his stoic facade and understand the toll that constant vigilance and responsibility took on him.
"Simon, you can't keep pushing yourself like this," Elena insisted softly.
"You need to take care of yourself too. Proper rest is just as important as the tasks we have at hand. Let me take over some of your duties so you can get some rest." Ghost hesitated, unused to being on the receiving end of such care and concern.
He appreciated Elena's offer, knowing that she was more than capable of handling the responsibilities that weighed on him. After a moment of contemplation, Ghost nodded in agreement.
"Alright, Elena. I'll take you up on that offer. Thank you for looking out for me. I'll get some rest while you handle things here." Elena smiled in relief, glad to see Ghost finally willing to prioritize his well-being.
As she took over some of his tasks, Ghost felt a sense of gratitude for having someone like Elena in his life - someone who cared enough to ensure that he didn't bear his burdens alone.
As he finally closed his eyes for some much-needed rest, he knew that he had a true friend in Elena, someone he could trust and rely on no matter what.
The next day everyone saw Ghost awake and making some tea for himself and Elena. Elena smiled took the cup and drank it. "You like how I make it?" Ghost asked. "yeah, It's the best tea I've ever had, Ghost," Elena said. "Good." Ghost said.
Soap was shocked at how nice Ghost was being...to a female, and usually Ghost hates conversations in the morning and just brutes around, but today was different Ghost was interacting with Elena.
Maybe there was something about Elena that Ghost liked. Soap couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of the bond forming between Ghost and Elena.
He had always been the one closest to Ghost, their friendship was built on years of working together and relying on each other in dangerous situations.
But now it seemed like Elena was slowly becoming a part of their tight-knit group. As the day went on, Ghost and Elena continued to spend time together, laughing and talking like old friends.
Soap couldn't deny that Elena brought out a side of Ghost that he had never seen before. It was as if she had unlocked something in him, a softer, more caring side that he had kept hidden for so long.
Despite his initial jealousy, Soap couldn't help but be happy for his friend. If Elena could bring out this side of Ghost, then maybe she was exactly what he needed in his life.
As he watched them interact, Soap couldn't help but feel grateful for the new dynamic that Elena had brought to their team.
Soap suspected that Ghost was falling in love with Elena which made him smile at the thought of his best friend falling in love.
Soap couldn't help but notice the way Ghost looked at Elena, the small gestures of affection, and the genuine smiles that seemed to light up his face whenever she was around.
