Leo and I returned our little rowboat and walked out of Central Park past Columbus Circle and right onto Broadway. Since he said he had never really come to sight-see, I figured I'd give him a mini-tour.

"And on your left is the Ed Sullivan theater where the Beatles made their American debut. Wish I could've been there for that," I smiled gently

"So do I, but are you gonna commentate the whole way to--wait, where are we even going?" He asked.

"A galaxy far far away, where the food is slammin'" I started laughing and we continued down broadway straight through Times Square, I promised him we'd come here after we ate. He was really persistent though, "Please! Just five minutes, we should take a picture in front of something. The big red steps, c'mon!"

And like that I was whisked away to take a picture on the steps. We got a girl a little older than us to take the picture for us, and just as she said 'Cheese!' for the last time, Leo dipped me low and kissed me! Oh my God, Leo Howard was kissing me! I felt his body close to mine and the butterflies in my stomach were really going crazy now. We pulled apart and everything around us was going in slow motion, the lights were blurry, the noise barely above a buzz, just me and him.

"You guys want your phone back?" The girl asked kind of awkwardly. So I ran down the steps and said thank you, and saw the pictures: He was holding me protectively in the first, then the second you could see the look on his face that just showed what he was about to do, and then in the last picture we were kissing. I felt his arm snake around my shoulder and I leaned against him,

"Let's go eat now, I'm starving." He said it as if nothing happened, did he not realize what he just did?

A few minutes later we got to the Galaxy Diner and ordered and ate, he tried to play footsie with me, and I played along, but in my head I kept wondering whether he was just gonna use me and move on. I mean he is a celebrity, he's got girls fauning over him all the time, was I just another doll?

"Do you like me? I mean, back after we kissed, you acted like nothing had happened, and I thought I felt something between us," Though my voice sounded confident and straight forward, my insides were rattling like a train engine.

"Yeah, of course I do," He replied with confidence in his voice, "Do you like me?"

"Well yeah, I told you about my scars after we'd known eachother for only a few hours. A few of my best friends don't even know about them. You're somthing special, I kinda just felt the need to show you."

I pushed the bad thoughts out of my mind and we continued our fun-filled day. We went back to Times Square and as we passed Planet Hollywood I thought to myself we should have come here.

"I forgot about this place! Man, now I'm wishing we could have eaten here."

"Tell you what. After your practice next week I'll come pick you up and we'll have a date here," He had a cheshire cat grin, sly but really sweet and genuine at the same time. I said sure, and we swapped numbers. I headed to the train and he said he'd come with, apparently his cousin lived in Throggs Neck. He walked me home and then walked to Westchester Square to catch the 40/42 bus. We texted until we both fell asleep, and I swore I'd remember this day forever, even if I turned out to be just another doll.
