Part 15: Chores and conversations

Y/n's pov:

We all saw Charlie leave the hotel in a swift move as she quickly closed the front door after her, away to SOMEHOW convince that perverted Overlord to let that porlats to stay more time at the hotel.

I rubbed my forhead and sighed
She won't simurvive 5 fucking minutes in that nude place...........

In the corner of my eye i saw Husk leaving the hotel lobby, still drinking as he slurred away, grumbling curses under his sharp breath like if he was drinking vinegar. That cat suddenly had caught my intrest, the fact that he could just read someone like that after just a few chit-chat made me really question if he truly was a magician and that title wasn't just another way to scam people out of their last bit of cash.

That thought made me grumble again, i know Alastor pretty well and i KNOW that he dosen't keep a soul like Husk's in that kind of physical form without a good reason. There was something more of Husk, he couldn't just be a simple soul who sold themself away to him, no , he must be hiding something big , just what is it..

Maybe its better not to find out, i knew better than anyone that curiosity is a dangerous trait to have with you and when Alastor is involved in this case it can't be good but on seacond thought i barely know anything about that cat aside from his obsession with booze, genius card-tricks and his clear burning hatred for Angel.

I was so lost in my thoughts that i didn't even noticed that i totally zoomed out even after Husk left the room and was now out of sight, out of hearing.

Suddenly i jumped back in fright as i heard fingers snap behind me , i let out a light shriek and snapped my head to see Lucy with a raised eyebrow

I sneered at her , only for her to shrug back at me
" You zoomed out. Don't ever do that, you never know what's going to happend if you keep on daydreaming like that"
Her tone sounding all dark and threathing once again with the same mocking smirk.

I only scoffed but smiled back as i fixed my hair while gazing at her scales. They shone in the dimming light like diamonds with her every move and i didn't even realise that j was zooming out again.

For the past few months i've learned to tolerante her bitter behavior towards me and the others.

I've learned it accept her way to look at the world eve though if it was really bad. And it makes me think back to the first night when i told her that her name means light cause nothing about her seemed to represent that, she'd much rather represent a void for her dark humor and her way of sucking the fun out of everything.

Still, she seemed more calm with me and my presance, she even told me once that she found me to be the least annoying demon in this hotel one time. We usually have talks and even have snacks together here and there.

Her brash behavior still takes me by shock tho, but not really in a bad way anymore. Her presence seems more comforting in a way... i don't know

It was then i heard Vaggie clear their throath and all eyes were suddenly on her as she stood right infront of us with a strict posture
" Alright, since Charlie is out on a temporaly out on an errands-"

" More like an upcomming disaster-"

" Pipe down!"
She spat at us before she quickly calmed herself down , regaining her polite tone
" and since she didn't give a an exact scheadule about today's activities i suggest that you all clean eachothers room in groups of two. The group who gets it done first can decide what dinner to have for tonight , sounds good?"
She smiled at but at the end as she gestured her hands to the cleaning closet.

We all brighten up at that requests as the room were filled with hopeful glee energy.

Vaggie crossed her arms
" Ok, so-"
She suddenly pointed at me and Lucy
" Y/n with Lucy"
And then to Sir Pentious and Niffty
" And Pentious with Niffty."
