Clay POV.

I admired George, watching as he nuzzled into my chest. The brunette was absolutely adorable and I couldn’t help but run my hands through his hair. Sitting beside the bed was an empty bag of burgers that we had ordered earlier, eating while watching a movie. I loved him so much and wanted to do nothing other than hold him.

I kissed at the brunette again. Part of me had been curious as to what he was doing with Niki when I was sent out to shop. I could have easily tuned into the show on TikTok or some other website, however I didn’t out of respect for the show.

As I laid with the beautiful brunette my phone began ringing. I was slightly annoyed since I enjoyed being able to lay here, however I sat up and answered the call. “Hello?” I asked into the phone, sitting myself up. George let out a slight grumble as he readjusted himself to go back to sleep, and I smiled for a moment before the voice responded.

“Clay. Can I talk with you?” Jimmy asked. My eyes narrowed as he said this, and I considered what it was that he would want to talk with me about, especially at a time when I was with George. Yet I responded with a ‘sure’ before being told to head out of the room so that we could talk without a risk of George overhearing.

For a moment I put down the phone, helping to move George so that he would be comfortable and wasn’t in contact with me and I stood before leaving the room. “Okay.” I simply stated as I shut the bedroom door before leaning against the hallway wall. “What is it that you wanted to talk about?” My voice was monotone, bored as I spoke.

“I need to talk about something we have to do.” He spoke ominously, seeming as though he was cautious about what exactly he should say. There was the sound of muttering from somewhere on the other end of the phone, clearly wherever he was he had his assistants alongside him.

“I would have used your earpiece…” He added on, continuing to drag out his words so that whatever he had to say could take time to stew. “...however it felt like this was too big of a conversation to use house mics, cameras, and earpieces to communicate. Plus you seemed to have misplaced your earpiece again.”

“So what is it?” I asked, tone cautious. I had been quick though, since I was wanting to distract the brunette from the fact that I had lost and/or accidently destroyed my fourth earpiece by this point. “What is so important that you had to get me away from George now to talk to me?” I listened, all of the voices on the other end of the line had fallen silent, all also waiting.

“He wants off the island.” Jimmy explained. “He has talked to you, Karl, Sapnap, and this morning he talked to Niki about it.” I nodded, being unsure as to where this was going, yet I could tell that this likely wouldn’t be good. “We need to find a way to stop him, to scare him back away from the water and the island.”

I paled slightly, knowing what happened the last time they wanted to keep George from moving off the island. They had killed off Quackity and Techno, and it had scarred George. I didn’t want to end up being killed off and becoming just a blotch in George’s memory. “You aren’t going to…” I didn’t want to say it, just in case it gave him more ideas.

“We can’t.” He responded, although it seemed quite obvious that he had at the very least considered it at one point in time. This pissed me off, I was so important to the brunette at the moment and they were honestly considering getting rid of me. “We have some other ideas for ways to keep him on the island, ones that will surely work.”

“Are you seriously saying you’d-” I cut myself off, once again trying to keep myself calm by balling my fists. To keep myself calm I balled my free fist up. “I’m important to George.” I muttered, a reminder for Jimmy. “You can’t just get rid of me.”

“You are just a guest star.” The voice sliced through the air, dripping with my unimportance and I glared up towards one of the cameras which I knew were in the hallway. “You don’t really think that I will prioritise you over George’s wellbeing?” Perhaps in the past I would have agreed to him, but not any more.

“Look, I just don’t think it’s fair that you traumatise George in order to keep him on this island.” I stated. “It’s not fair to him if you do this.”
“You didn’t seem to have a problem with this a few weeks ago. This is what happens all the time to ensure George’s safety and comfort.”

“You are trapping him here like a caged animal.” I scoffed. “What if he wants to decide to travel or move somewhere else?”
“We have plans being discussed for that.” Jimmy explained. “Organising a place for George to go on vacation if he desires.”

I listened to him as he spoke for a few minutes before getting annoyed. Despite the fact that I knew it could be quite bad for me further down the line I ended the call. I didn’t allow him to finish off anything else he was going to say as I pocketed the phone and began heading downstairs, swiping my car keys off the table I’d originally put them on.

As I was about to step out of the front door I saw Niki stepping in from the kitchen. “Clay? Where are you going?” She asked.
“Just for a walk.” I responded, turning to smile for a moment before turning back to the door.
“Jimmy just told me that you had hung up on him.” The woman’s voice was soft, timid.

“Yeah, it was nothing. You do not need to worry.” I muttered. She seemed uneasy and I admittedly felt bad for her. She was being dragged more and more into the spotlight by having myself and George staying here. It seemed that she was often exhausted and/or retreated herself to her room to relax.

“I’m just going on a walk. I’ll be home later. Just want some time off camera to think and stuff.”
"I'll let Jimmy know you want some time to yourself." Niki nodded, and I thanked her. Keeping my head low I headed over to my car, the one that I had been given when I came to stay here.

After getting into the driver's seat I pulled my phone from my pocket. I went through older videos that showed the car and studied where the cameras were from all of the angels that were shown. One by one I reached at them and tugged them out, following by ripping out the microphones and shoving the wires into my pockets.

Once everything I spotted had been ripped out I smiled softly, turning off my phone before stepping out of the car.
