It had been about a week since Ghirahim woke up, his strength returning in large doses thanks to Link helping him. However, there was a pressing matter that both of them had come to think of. I need clothes. Ghirahim thought to himself as he felt inexplicably naked in front of his roommate. "Hey, Sky Child, could you do me a favor? Could I uh, borrow some uh, actual clothes?" Link looked at Ghirahim and nodded, going through his closet to find something the somewhat taller man could wear before they got him some of his own clothes. He quickly found a green robe looking outfit, that had a tan pair of leggings. He grinned inwardly, wondering what it would be like to see the diamond obsessed man wear a knight's outfit. His heart started beating quickly as the thought went through him and he blushed infuriatingly.
Ghirahim looked at the other, wondering what the other could possibly be thinking about when he was handed the green and tan outfit, his eyes went wide and he almost wanted to puke. Him, the magical and fabulous him wearing this peasant's uniform. Ha! It was almost laughable. Ghirahim was about to deny it when he saw the look on Link's face that made him actually want to put it on. So he did. And then he regretted it. Link's face became a bright red and then he giggled. That little bastard's laughing at me! It made Ghirahim want to rip the clothes to shreds, right up until he realized just how cute Link's laugh actually was. Then he just sat down and sighed, defeated only by a laugh.
"Would you go to town and get some fabric so that I can make clothes that I can actually look good in?" Ghirahim asked as politely as he could, without trying to sound as pissed off as he was. Link looked at Ghirahim and stopped laughing, but the smile stayed as he nodded. Link quickly walked out of the room before he ended up getting yelled at because of what he made him wear. He ran down the steps and to the city with what seemed like endless energy. He couldn't stop smiling, his heart wouldn't stop pounding and he practically jumped the whole wall in front of the city. This feeling had been so foreign for so long. It was a warm feeling, he had felt it before, two years ago.
He stopped at the fabric store, looking around and not knowing what to get, he really just thought about it. He didn't stop to overthink things, he grabbed purple, blue, black, white, and gold fabrics. He thought those colors would look best, so he quickly payed for everything. As he passed by the jewelry store he froze when he saw two sets of diamond earrings that were blue and then ones that were green, the thought that passed through his head made him laugh softly to himself. He purchased both the green and the blue diamonds, the merchant woman smiling and saying with a hint of curiosity in her voice, "Are those for the Goddess?" Link shook his head and smiled, waving goodbye, leaving a very confused and curious merchant woman behind. Link darted home, excited and full of energy.
Ghirahim sighed as he sat on the bed, watching the Sky Child leave. Anytime the Sky Child left, Ghirahim thought that leaving may be the best thing to do. To leave and never return. That he could steal some supplies and a sword and leave, but then, that made his heart sink to the pit of his stomach. Being out there again, alone, dying, was terrifying. That, and the knight seemed to grow on Ghirahim, it made him smile when he thought about how happy Link had seemed when he had finally started to open up a little bit. Telling him that they could be friends now that neither of them had to fight each other, it made the Sky Child smile so genuinely, Ghirahim almost choked on his own words.
This change was starting to bother Ghirahim, he used to be so...independent. He was flamboyant and not afraid to say something that would hurt anyone. But when it comes to the Sky Child, he watches what he says to make sure he doesn't hurt the feelings of the hero. Ghirahim mentally screamed, when did He, the fabulous Ghirahim care about anyone's feelings? It was when you fell in love with a human. He thought softly to himself, his eyes widening as he finally realized it, the fact that he cares so much about the Sky Child was that he had grown to like, even love him, in such little time. Even though he was so quiet, he didn't need to say much to say so many things all at once. It was when that he, Ghirahim, became human that he could fully understand why some humans are the way they are, settling down and just being happy with their lives, not fighting to make their ruler happy. Not like he used to, or even Link used to. They both understood what it was like to fight for a cause, whether it was good or not.
He groaned, pissed off at himself for becoming so soft when Link walked in, holding bags of fabric. Ghirahim's eyes went wide as he saw the colors, a smile plagued his face, most of the colors there were his favorite colors, they looked best on him. Or they had, until he had so carelessly lost to the legendary hero, only to be saved by him again. Fate really was strange wasn't it? Ghirahim thought. He looked at the fabric and thought mentally of his outfit, then looked at Link who was looking intently at him. He smiled and said excitedly, "You have amazing taste Sky Child." Link blushed and smiled. "O-k, now, all I have to do is figure out how to make this into clothes..." Ghirahim blushed profusely, almost like a child.
