With a final, devastating strike, Giyuu severed the demon's head, its body disintegrating into ash. He dropped to his knees beside Tanjiro, his hands trembling as he cradled the younger slayer's broken body.
"Tanjiro, stay with me," Giyuu pleaded, his voice cracking with emotion.
Tanjiro's eyes fluttered open, pain etched across his face. "Giyuu... I..."
"Save your strength," Giyuu whispered, tears streaming down his face. "You're going to be fine. We'll get you help I promise you tanjiro... just stay with me. Please my love~."
But deep down, Giyuu knew the truth. The wound was fatal, and there was nothing he could do to save Tanjiro.
Tanjiro reached up, his hand trembling as he cupped Giyuu's cheek. "I'm glad... I got to fight... beside you, I'm glad i got to be right by your side.. Thank you for taking me as your lover" he said, his voice barely a whisper. "You... mean so much... to me."
Giyuu pressed his forehead against Tanjiro's, his tears mingling with the snow. "And you to me, Love. More than you'll ever know."
As the last of Tanjiro's strength faded, he managed a small, peaceful smile. "Thank you... for everything... Tomioka."
"With a final, shuddering breath, Tanjiro's eyes closed, and his hand fell limp onto the white snow, staining it crimson with his lifeblood. Giyuu stood frozen, his heart a heavy anchor in his chest as he watched his beloved's life slip away. Desperation clawed at him, urging him to defy fate, to somehow snatch Tanjiro back from the abyss. But all he could do was stand there, feeling the world crumble around him as he whispered Tanjiro's name into the unforgiving silence of the winter air."
